Do you have these in the Stocks ISA or in an Invest Account?
My dip has recovered to the exact same point as before. Kept calm and carried on!
Absolute right move, in the past panic sets in and auto sell mindset sets in, this time I stayed calm and held & instead I bought cheaper units.. 🙏
i panic and sold stupid decision
@@richardjo01 🙄You said it 🙄
Same here, just held.

Good video 👍
My portfolio dipped but seems to have pretty much returned now.
Stuck to my guns and just left it there and made a couple more investments at the same time.
Niceee!!!
For new investors ( investors in the last year) it was a good time to lower the averages, stay on the plan , it could dip a few more times yet , keep some spare cash to take advantage is my advice , but I have no idea what I'm doing ...........
I used the dip to rebalance my portfolio which was too dividend heavy to about 15-20% growth and AI stocks. I’ll always be dividend investor, but now have an AI ETF, GOOGL, some semi conductors and penny stock punts
Hey Mitch, I just signed up with your code and got a Coca Cola share! off to a good start!
Hey Joe! Nice one!!!
I bought the dip
Investing in foreign markets can be challenging due to foreign exchange (FX) fees. For example, even though I achieved a 3% total growth on my U.S. stocks, FX fees ultimately reduced my gains, resulting in a 2% loss. Now, to avoid locking in that loss, I need to wait for the dollar to strengthen against the pound. As a UK resident, this experience highlights the importance of focusing on investment opportunities that minimize currency risk, such as stocks or ETFs listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) or those traded in euros.
I love your videos, time stamps would make them even better!
Ah my bad! Usually I do put them on, forgot on this one!
Kinda new to your channel, may i please ask you when did you first started to invest in this portofolio? +75% on Apple is quite impressive... was that 2-3 years ago?
Hey! Yeah I started the portfolio in mid 2020 and cost averaged in for a while. I’ve seen a huge chunk of the gains in the past 12 months or so
Thanks again Mitch brilliant video. Do you expect Palantir shares to drop back down in price any time soon? Or would you expect it to told hold over 30?
Thanks! Impossible to say, suspect it could drop lower again as it’s a particularly volatile stock and had quite the run up recently!
Brilliant update as always I'm looking forward to the video on vanguard ftse all world as I have just started investing in that myself
Hi
Thank you for the video id like to ask a question
I’ve been following you since beginning and I see that in a video you say that you get bigger returns because even in bear market you invest or you doubled your investing each month. The other day I watched your monthly investing portfolio video and you say that you hold on some positions and stop putting more money in. Why do you put more money in some stock monthly even if it’s a bear market and why do you hold your position in others? Thank you for taking time explaining
Great vid as always Mitch
Thanks!
Last week with the Nikkei was interesting, it wiped a lot off my portfolio but I held and now it's recovered. To be honest though I just see this as one big learning curve and whilst it's nice to see everything going up all the time, you learn way more as it's dropping and recovering. I bought the dip with Nvidia and averaged down for sure.
What's the phrase: The markets take the stairs up and the express elevator down 😂
Haha yeh something like that! Definitely felt like it last couple of weeks 😂
Mitch, why dont you delete the comments from the bots on your videos. Seem the logical thing to do instwad of letting some lesser people fool for the BS.
@@Know3ody I do try! I’ve got comment blocks on too, it’s a nightmare
Can't say "logical" when there's soo many bot comments
There are so many bots here. Maybe make a video about them.
Thanks for the video Mitch, what’s your thoughts on Alphabet stock as a long term hold? Do you think their monopoly case will affect the stock? Thanks
Good vid also liked
My portfolio is very similar to yours Mitch but I only just started investing a few months back, do you think it will keep rising in the future I’m holding long term and I’ll keep investing each month
Yeah I’m bullish on all my holdings for the long term!
Another banger bro!
Im 23 and have about 9.5k invested worth about £10.5k currently. I invest £500 a month into my S&S ISA and £300 into the Cash ISA, and then £200 a month into my LISA. Do you think im doing alright for my age or no?
Yeah killing it mate, defo ahead of most people your age!
@@MitchShoesmith ah wicked that's great to hear! 👌🏼
Hey Mitch Ive got 3 pies one technology based mainly with growth stocks and obviously the big main players. some oil and gases stocks, energy, mining and shipping. And finally just started a REITs pie I was wondering what your thoughts are long term? Thanks mate
You have tips on investing on ttwo?
Could you do a video on what you buy & how often you buy. So do you invest weekly? Monthly? & do you spread out some of your income between all the stocks above? Or buy bulk in amazon one week then the next week buy bulk in a different stock. Cheers
I invest monthly - right now I’m prioritising buying into the S&P500 ETF. When I see good buying opportunities on my individual stock holdings I’ll add more 👌🏼
Be nice to show average price of your stocks
Would you not be better to hold your VUSA on T212 to avoid the VG platform fee? .
@@macky573021 I would yes, I’ve just not done the admin to shift it over
Question about having both Vanguard and 212 platforms. I have a small portfolio in vanguard also and thinking of starting a 212 account for more individual options.
Why do you keep the vanguard one and not move it over?
Because I’m too lazy to move it over lol, I will do it at some point when I get round to it
Hi Mitch, when you say analysts, where are you getting this forecasting specifically from?
Hey Samuel, it’s from Yahoo Finance
Just a random question, does it matter if you buy fractional shares compared to whole ones depending how much you intend on investing? As I was wondering will buying smaller result in smaller gains over a long term or does it simply accumulate? Thanks.
@@GmasterCrafter no, it’s the value of the shares that you buy that counts - obviously the bigger the value the quicker it’ll compound
@@MitchShoesmithThat would make sense, thanks for the input! Would you also recommend creating a pie and diversifying in that way or is simply putting it into an ETF like the S&P 500 already enough?
So your advice is only the 7 magnificent? Well done Sherlock
I don’t give advice and have never advised on buying the mag 7.
I invested in my ETFs and pies. I haven't really looked if im up or down 😂😅
Best way to be man, set it and forget it!
Why not do an ISA transfer to T212? I did this but T212 does not allow in specie transfer.
Might be because it will reset his percentage gain stats! He'll lose a nice big number to talk about in his videos 😆
I should do really, haven’t bothered doing the admin on it though!
They allow stocks to be transferred in specie
@@christianswinfen4785 not in the UK, I tried to do it the other day and said in specie is not ready yet
@@christianswinfen4785 This must be new in the last month. At the time I could not transfer from Vanguard in such a way.
What's better to invest in Vanguard s&p500 ETF ACC or DIST?
Both are the same fund just one pays out its dividends and 1 automatically add them to the investment in the fund i like to receive my dividends in the pie so i have the dist vusa
What year did you start investing in your portfolio?
I first started in late 2017
Great video, but must say I’m not a fan of the constant sound effects. Each to their own!
@@mattjohnson6200 good to have the feedback - thanks Matt!
Hi, this is more of a T212 question but hoping someone can help pls. I have £450 in a cash isa but the balance is showing as £402.28 (the £2.28 I assume being interested). I can’t see where the balance of £50 is sitting - am I missing something obvious?
Press the home button (house icon) and then click on the value of your holding. You should then see your free funds.
❤
I want to ask.
Are you afraid that the possible coming war will destroy the stock market and that people who have invested in it will lose their money?? 🤔
Hey - no I’m not concerned at all from an investing perspective, there has been global conflict throughout history and whilst it can certainly affect the stock market, it’s never impacted markets for any prolonged period of time
Hey Mitch , I have send you the email you have not replied yet ?
No nvidia huh?
Not directly, I’ve got exposure via the S&P500 though
@MitchShoesmith indeed you do, thought you'd have it individually looking at how heavy you've gone on tech in your targeted stocks!
@@danielfarrell3534 felt I was too late on nvidia, if I picked it up back in 2020 instead of AMD it would’ve been nice!
@MitchShoesmith I only just slipped in 7 shares with them about a week ago when it went down to 107 ish. I think it still has room to increase even now though! So I want to keep adding to it as and when, just DCA.
Invest in Nvidia Microsoft and google
Better to invest in a tech stock etf
So many bots 😭
Cathie Wood is a meme at this point. She has lost soo much money.
Tesla fundamentals are not the best (really bad) over rated and pumped on “what could be” hype. FYI.. Cate Wood is not exactly an example on management and as a massive Tesla shareholder is her “job” to pump it. It is a car company with reduced revenue. That’s all 🤷🏻
