From Protist to Plants: Overview of Kingdom Protista

The protists are often overlooked because the group is so diverse and the relationships continue to be updated and reconfigured. It is a sort of “grab bag” of eukaryotes who are not animals, plants, or fungi. This short lecture focuses on some general traits of protists and the path to evolution of lab plants from protist ancestors.
