Good morning KT, thanks for bringing the stark reality about the people living on the river banks, but they seem to be happy and they are playing gleefully. That's one distinct difference between the people of the world and Fillipinos.
In my memories I saw this river during '70s. during my childhood days this particular bridge was one my landmark that I am getting closer to my destination ( Candelaria Quezon), the other one was the Balayhangin zigzag road of Calauan, Laguna. Noong araw natatanaw ko na dito sa ilog na ito madami nag lalaba napakalinis at linaw ng tunig galing sa bundok.ngayon napala rumi dito ang dumping site ng wet market sa gilid. sayang na kalikasan sinira at hindi naalagaan ng local government.

There has been no improvement so that the slum conditions have become more orderly and in the Calamba area it is still the same as the previous conditions when I studied for master degree at UP Los Banon. Hopefully the government will pay more attention to it in the future

You also need permission from the embassy abroad, which can take over a year. The US does not want to let me leave. Remember, "America love it or leave it?"....well not anymore.
