Bonjour, j'ai vraiment adoré les sourires des gens de votre reportage, quelle gentillesse ambiante, où ce trouve cet endroit, je veux dire pro he de quelle ville, dans quelle région, sur quelle île, je viens aux Philippines depuis 1995 pas régulièrement mais j'aime vraiment ces gens qui sont d'une vraie gentillesse par rapport à d'autres endroits en Asie, les phillipinos sont adorables, merci de votre réponse, j'ai envie d'aller me balader dans cet endroit à la rencontre de ces gens chaleureux qui malgré leurs situations sont absolument magnifiques avec cette joie de vivre. 😍

There is something meditative about watching this walk in the community. i like the families, kids, and people just living their lives.
And here, in all selfishness, I'm complaining about the reception of the TV when these people have nothing and offer genuine and warm smiles.
This is the result of a corrupt government, very sad
These people have families, friends, neighbors. A community. You are alone in your bedsit, all you have is your TV and when the reception breaks, your world crumbles into the ground. It's the life in the west that's really sad, not Philippines. Thanks 😊
That reminds me of a quote, and don’t take it to heart. But “they have no idea how sad they should be”
The meaning, that I take behind it is that, here in the west, we have it pretty well off, and we don’t even know it. And we have a panic attack if we can’t listen to music RIGHT NOW.
In the Philippines, it’s the life they know, the life they grew up on, and despite their economic status, they are still finding enjoyment in life.
That’s why I believe the Philippines is more rich than America.

I know it's sad to see some poverty. But my heart is warmed to see these children playing outside instead of on cell phones or laptops. They're making memories together. I grew up poor before according what I have today and I admit to smiling seeing these kids play together and interacting. Brings back many childhood memories of being on the block with my friends on the summer. How I wish I could live in the Philippines if I had a way to sustain myself. I'd gladly live alone just to see them play in the street. I swear it.
I'm always surprised how healthy and well-fed everyone looks in these videos. Not the picture of poverty I had in my mind.
I don't think it's sad I think it's beautiful and they seem happy and fulfilled, humble, honest, respectful , God loving-fearing, kind, infused with nature and one another and faith in God. What's sad is kids in the West, antisocial depressed, glued to phones, with a horrible stuck up attitude, Godless, Broken families, single moms everywhere, drugs, mental illness, degeneracy, immorality, inflation...etc. etc.

Yeah kids are always in clean clothes, happy smiling being kids, playing the same games my mother played when she was a girl in the 1940's, not screaming you hate me because x station 25 is released tomorrow and I don't have it yet. Wandered some pretty sketchy back streets myself when I was younger, a bit of respect goes a long way.

Don't be fooled by their pleasant and friendly smiles as if their world were colorful, because it isn't and the reality is that poverty brings other terrible problems especially for children, the most vulnerable, you may not know but in the Philippines there was an explosion of Absurd pedophilia never seen during and after the pandemic, during the early hours of the morning while everyone was sleeping, children were forced to perform live online sex shows for pedophiles around the world. They are raped and repeatedly sexually abused while being recorded by their mothers. Parents, aunts and uncles also participate. See these children in droves on the streets eating sweets? ask yourself where does the money come from to buy sweets in a place of extreme poverty?
seeing these… just think…life maybe is just a form, senses, experience. No default meaning but meaning is to be created.

I lived in Quezon City in mid 1970's and it was pretty much just like this. Seemed like 75% of the population were kids and they had free reign to wander all over the neighborhood. Nobody worried about anything happening to them even out on the road with Jeepneys and trikes. Unfortunately while this may look like poverty to Americans there are places that are far, far worse and sometimes right next to opulent wealth secured behind a fortress-like gate. It was one of the aspects of life in the PI that I struggled with yet I still miss the place.
When I see kids locked in air conditioned mchouses, with schedules booked like doctors, spending all day in woke schools and all evening on their stupid tablets, driven around in armored SUVs, precribed pills, without dads, moms a Karen, they are the ones I am sad about.
Philippines kids look so much happier.
Um lugar com uma grande aglomeração com pessoas bonitas, notamos que falta saneamento básico asfaltado e tudo mais, parece que os governantes esqueceram. Que Deus abençoe nossos irmãos filipinos. ❤

I eventually noticed all the 'affordable' child care (virtually none) all over the place and how un-necessary it was virtually everywhere ! -- Social norms were very peaceful and appeared self disciplined in all the areas filmed here ? A happy people in spite of their circumstances.
How you know they are happy with poverty?
Their demeanors were clearly content. And it looked obvious to me that they were not allowing the poverty to ruin their lives or keep them from finding some enjoyment in spite of the circumstances. The opposite of pouting sadness or misery was apparent. --- Not "happy with poverty" but "happy in spite of the poverty" ! @@Joe-ff1oh
