Republic Services of Cypress, CA (Part 1)

Here we have one of the last two videos of Republic Services operating in Cypress, California. In this video, we have two Heil Rapid Rails, both on Autocar ACX chassis. The first truck is collecting recycling, which was collected bi-weekly back then, and the second one with the Consolidated Disposal sign is collecting trash. Filmed with RUclipsr, Matt "ATSFpony" on a rainy then cloudy Friday afternoon. I will have the second half of this video available at a later time, but you can view Matt's video by clicking the link below. His video was posted months ago, but just in case you want to watch it again, it's there. You'll also notice the infamous variety of carts used for trash here, which also made filming more interesting during Republic's time in this city.

Really enjoy footage of Sharons truck. So strange that Consolidated/Republic doesn't collect this city anymore, but change is inevitable. Better for the city tho, promoting more recycling! Great work man, really enjoyed you're footage. As well as Matt's.

+Solid Waste Entertainment - Thanks. I miss it mainly for the then diverse cart variety. The trucks didn't phase me except when all the Peterbilt Rapid Rails were rid of.

good video but all these cng/lng trucks suck too me. are these trucks made for the drive not to rev the engine or is it his choice?

+fs46 - CNG trucks are the new the new norm and the future of the sanitation industry, so you'll be seeing a lot more of them. The manufacturer of these trucks has them set to stop if the driver tries to revv the engine. You could set them up to revv, but then it voids the warranty on the truck.
