*NEW* Autocar ACX Heil Rapid Rail Garbage Truck - Republic Services

- I went bananas when I spotted this beauty parked in a small neighborhood in Cypress's Monday routes. A brand new Heil Rapid Rail mounted on a CNG Autocar ACX chassis.
The driver said it's been in service for about 4 months. Very nice guy indeed. He's seen many of our videos here on RUclips. Even told me of "some guy" that would post little 30 second videos of the trucks in Cypress. That's when my mind said "Must be shadofax96".
FINALLY I was able to get footage of the recycling collection in Cypress. Something I've been trying to do for over 2 years now. I feel like I got a sufficient amount of action for y'all. These were his last few streets before offloading the load. You'll see many carts here too. Including Roto, Rotonics, Toter, and Otto Edge. I think Republic's staying with Otto Edge because I saw a peach one, and a dark tan one in this particular neighborhood. Both with 12 inch spoked wheels.

Nice Catch. I do say these RRs are nice, especially in the AW c/s. I always liked the sound of an ISL-G mated to an Autocar.

Thank you. The other Rapid Rails were light blue with white cabs. And yes they are changing all of them into the ones like these.

Thanks. They never had a green waste service from what I've heard. And they still have the bi-weekly recycling service. This runs on LNG, tank located on the opposite side of the truck.

Yeah it's weird. The original colors are peach/tan for garbage, and green for recycling. Some of the gray carts are for Seal Beach but ended up in Cypress for some reason. As for the dark tan ones, IDK. And the light green Edge cart is actually a green waste cart with a recycling sticker on it.
The Toter was like that when I first saw it. I was standing on a stone planter.

Thanks. It's the first Republic truck with the Allied Waste paint scheme I've seen in the whole county so far.
the only think I don't like about CNG trucks are that they make a radeling noise when they are not moving. For example when they are in the cycle.
But very nice video, Its rare (for me) to find heil rapids working for allied waste

Nicely done. It is cool they are getting Ottos, I am guessing the 12 inch wheels will soon be 10s I know Republic here buys Ottos with 10 inch wheels now. I am guessing this was Recycle week and greens is another week or is it mixed with the trash. OMG a manual dump at 4:50!!!!!!!!

They've been getting Ottos since last year. And last year's had 10 inch. Yard waste is mixed with the garbage.

Holy moly the cart color coding is screwed up. Looks like that toter at 3:35 got squished lol and I love those oTTo's. What'd you stand on in the last clip? Great work nice truck

@RainbowDisposal Oh alright. Okay, cool that they are getting 12s for now... I hate 10 inch wheels on 96g carts they are just too small for a cart of that size, they work on 64g carts but not 95g or 35g IMO. So since Yard Waste and Garbage is mixed I assume it is seprated at a MRF.

@RainbowDisposal Ah alright, I wonder why Rainbow does not use that methood too, it seems common in your area to seprate waste at a MRF, it would be cool if rainbow still was old school and used that concept and manual collection.
