    Hello! I encountered this problem. The player does not enter playback mode. In this case, rewinds work in both directions. I took off the cover, the belts are stretched a little and need to be changed. I carefully wiped the rosin off the printed circuit board with isopropyl alcohol. After assembly, playback mode turned on several times. It seems like the problem is somewhere on the PCB.

    How realistic is it to solve this problem?

      Hi, your solenoid that engages modes are stuck, broken, damaged windings or its not soldered.

      @@LT.tapeheads.service thank you! I didn't even think about it! Even after assembly, the rewind modes were turned on mirrored: the FFD button winds the tape back and vice versa. but possibly related to the forward and reverse playback mode
