The queen has landed. Wearied from her perilous flight she sheds her wings, burrows into the soft sand and begins to lay. The first children of the nomadic Formica Ereptor must grow quickly if they are to survive. Soon the ants will embark on a vast and treacherous journey through thick jungle and scorching desert. I have a strategy for nests.
Make the chambers for eggs the only way in the core. (Like chamber to chamber) Making hatching ants go into the front line.
Then have a queen chamber where the only entrance is from the behind (facing away from the main enterance.

Who is actually liking?
The queen chamber strategy won't work because you can't block entrances (place soil back) and the claustral chamber is connected to the nest entrance from the beginning of every level so far.

29:32 those are tiger beetle larvae, they only appear in the campaign of u do it on challenge mode. They don't attack if u have multiple ants on them, only when u have an ant on their own they will attack

Remeber, have a small portion of melee ants to hold bugs until more workers arrive, if there is a moment where you dont have enough workers or spitters in an area and they are attacked, they will fall quickly. A few melee ants can hold bugs long enough to save more ants from dying.

Ye I thought he was speaking in español or something but when I heard "Kamusta" that got my attention and replayed it back lol
Also those new enemies that crawl out of the holes in the floor to grab ants are tiger beetle larvae, they are honestly fascinating little things. They use their armoured shield like head to block the entrance of their body and hide their fleshy unarmoured body underground and if anything comes too close to the hole they lunge out like crocodiles grab their prey in their strong jaws before eating them safely hidden in their borrow. That’s tiger beetles for you, vicious hunters from day one, and as a previous owner of manticora/giant tiger beetles I can definitely say they live up to the tiger in their name.
They don’t actually crawl out of the borrows like in the game tho, just grab things within head range but I think they did this for gameplay reasons, it would be pretty op otherwise

Those “Giant Worms” are Tiger Beetle larvae. The Tiger Beetles being the black & white bugs in the game.
