i'm using omz and i think omz set ctrl L to clearing the terminal which i used frequently nut it doesn't seem to work when i run tmux tried googling but only found solutions for when custom keybinds set in zshrc dont work which isn't the case for me cuz ctrl L isnt set there. what do i do
tmux source ~/.tmux.conf
no server running on /tmp/tmux-1000/default
edit fix: run tmux on terminal first :D
"If I had friends, they definitely be jealous now!" lol - great work btw
You're great at this and still getting better. Thanks for all you do!
Hello, I'm starting my programming journey at school. We use vscode since it's easier to do basic things, but after watching your videos and listening to theprimeagen and his guides, I was blown away.
This makes life so much easier. Not needing a mouse was something I thought of right away, and it looks like nvim and tmux is the answer. I feel like it'll be a couple of weeks to understand both to a basic degree and their plug-ins. Wish me luck.
I’m happy you’re enjoying it! Congrats on joining the vim cult, I mean fraternity!
Fellow nerd here,
Thanks for your increadble yet quick video
because you know
:) not getting enough time between twm rice, nvim config, (and trying out emcas config) 20 different unfinished side projects, collage and part time work
Loved the video! To the point... and funny. Thank you for clearing the screen at the end and leaving a clean environment for your next video! ;-)
chris you have either helped me base my config and workflow in your videos, or made videos about something i recently added to it.
at this point your channel is like a git log of my workflow 😂😂😂
love it!
I haven't paid much attention to the video but the voice is amazing
lol as a girl I can relate
Thanks nerd! that looks Amazing! I covered you in my stream!
Thanks Limp Penis 😂
love your vids, ty
Love the vibe! Subscribed.
Man thats freaking awesome
Hell yeah brother!!!
Why do you need both setw -g mode-keys vi AND the explicit keybindings for h,j,k, and l?
Is it possible to update the status bar with other non-dracula plugins when using dracula? Say I want a leader indicator, but I cannot set status-left nor status-right as it is overriden by dracula.
loved it!!
Thanks!
@Chris, thank you for the great tutorial! You are amazing! Did you have other tutorial to config the terminal like yours? Thanks in advance
I do! ruclips.net/video/wNQpDWLs4To/видео.html
only difference now is I use dracula draculatheme.com/ as my terminal theme
@@typecraft_dev , thank you!
Hello Chris I did all of the step with when i press C-s+ donde happen anything dont split another window like in the video and I pressed C-s I for install the packages and all the steps, could you help me please?
Still learning Linux terminal, but it's nice.
@carlhandy
I'd really like to see how you customized zshrc to get that nice looking status bar
would you happen to know a way to get the kanagawa color scheme in tmux?
“if I had friends, they will definitely be jealous now”🤣🤣🤣 02:09
Genial seus videos...
how do you get the zsh terminal setup
The only issue I have is that tmux (or dracula) changes my neovim colorscheme. I’m using macos + alacritty
I have a question difference between tmux and terminator ??
What nvim colorscheme is this? Looks amazing
Dracula!
I would love to see your dotfiles, if you can share it :) tks for the content!
Bro, I need help, funny, I'm just watching your different videos about nvim set up. I need help, :checkhealth - tmux ERROR $TERM should be "screen-256color" or "tmux-256color" what should I do? I tried a bunch of options< and they didn't help.
What's the colourscheme?
Is it Dracula?
i got errror when :so the tmux files it says error detected while processing :source
Any idea how to get it working on windows ?
Could not get ANYTHING to install from Warp. Had to run it from iterm2 first and then run warp and it carried over. I don't know if there is a keybinding interference or what... but nothing would actually install.
Warp is trash
Just learn zsh
You don’t even have to learn it that well just enough to install plugins like autocomplete, auto suggestion etc
What font are you using?
The font is the default installed by powerlevel10k. I think it’s hacked menlo
Zellij is cool and easy 😊
Finally
How do i do the C-s + I for the tpm update???? when I press Control S and type shift I for capital I it does nothing....
edit when I do it it types a capital I into any terminal I've tried, I need help please
C-b + I
how do u press Capital 'I' ? isn't it shift+i .
not working
I set this config But my C-l is not working in my vim inside tmux.
Do you know what problem is this?
Should probably be C-s I
@@typecraft_dev I Installed packages. But vim-tmux-navigator is not working only in vim on tmux.
I mean C-h, C-j, C-k, C-l these keybindings.
hey! whats your zsh theme? it looks great
It’s powerlevel10k !
Sorry. Powerlevel10k with Dracula theme
@@typecraft_dev ok! thanks for answering
@@typecraft_dev i've started using p10k just recently, and i've gotta say... it's amazing
can you do this on vim or I have to use Nvim?
You could use vim I’m sure. I won’t tell anyone
Notice that C-s conflicts with Nvchad C-s
is leather key "ctrl" ?
Leader key is "CTRL+s" for me, and "CTRL+b" by default in tmux
do you mind sharing the terminal colors?
Dracula for iterm!
@@typecraft_dev Thanks!
Whats your terminal theme?
dracula!
We are so cool🎉
😂
Two minute paper has a lot to answer for.
hey I'm not a nerd ....alright time to go pimp up my polybar and i3.
😂
Why is Seth Rogen doing a tutorial on tmux?
😂
Hi.
Thinking to buy a Macbook pro m2, but I don't see much info about C++, CMake, Conan or VCpkg, Zig, C# or Rust.
* Is easy to setup Macbook to these languages ?
** Without using Clion or another intellig products.
* Is necessary using Homebrew ?
It's easy. There are alternatives to homebrew.
Also. Like and subscribe!!! 🎉❤
I hate you, because of you i cant live without neovim and tmux 😂
😂
@@typecraft_dev thanks for helping me streamline my dev workflow. Salam from malaysia.
Sadly you don't have a friend :(
Damn!
I am first🎉Hello chris!
HI!
Chris you frondet developper ?
I am a fullstack developer. I have spent many years writing frontend AND backend code
Do you work? How much monthly do you get?
I still don't get why anyone would still use tmux these days
It's all about what you're comfortable with and what your workflow is like. For me, I work in many different projects (micro-services) in rails. For me, its a lot more comfortable having a tmux session open for anything I'm working on, including CLI/processes. I can just quickly switch between tmux sessions to look at / work on different services, and each session is it's own encapsulated workspace.
That is just how I like to work. Different strokes for different folks, as they say :)
@@kylem872 use a tiling window manage
right there with you
@@jackelofnar Oh, thats neat, how can i use that tiling window manager on my headless server?
oh, right. i need to open N ssh sessions to the server for each new terminal i want on it.
still need to use screen/tmux to launch the migration scripts so that if i go to the caffeteria and lose wi-fi it won't just kill the session.
@@jackelofnar why would i make my whole window manager tile when i can just make my terminal tile.. the only program that tiles properly is the terminal

For those of us in the civilized world - change to Celsius temperature scale:
