Highlight: He couldn't even see her face
Jai Bhavani
😿😭
What he saw were her ashes !
But were they really HER ashes or somebody elsewhere
That's the biggest defeat of khilji
Real life husband
The last scene she is smiling instead of scared... thats what shows valour of her
Hail Rani Padmawati. This scence gives me goosebumps 🧡🙏
Her jauhar makes sense if you look at Khilji's character. Historically, he is said to have been a necrophile. If she just killed herself, Khilji would not have even spared her dead body. Hence the jauhar because while he killed her husband by deceit, she had the last laugh by not even letting him see her dead body. And the other women joining in also because he would have taken his anger out on them. It's not just about pride, it's about defeating the villain in ways that would destroy him at a much deeper level.
Very much logical and strong point🙏
@Moonmoon Pati Apparently he was bisexual, a paedophile and a necrophile. I read in one article "Ostensibly, the main reason for Jauhar-Shaka was to avoid rape, dishonour and enslavement, perhaps even necrophilia by the invading Muslim armies. The horrific accounts of the Arab invasion of Sindh in the eighth century might have been well-known."
Jesus, guys, give it a break. From where all you get such stupid information? Alauddin was neither a necrophile nor a bisexual. The whole story of Alauddin and Malik Kafur was based on some stupid historian who gave it a little twist and now its all over the news. Alauddin was that man who saved 'Hindoostan' from the burning rages of Mongols. The whole market system that is based on today was a gift of Alauddin's intelligent mind. Yes, Jauhar happened. That's the price one has to pay in war but vilifying someone without having proper knowledge is plain stupid.
This is just a poem and not reality. If it were real, then don't forget that khilji was supposed to be one of the best warriors of his time. He would've killed the king undeceitfully.
@@notyourfriend-li7rq reality or otherwise, the point is that the johar adds up because of what is said about Khilji. He was said to have been a necrophiliac. The same is accused of invading armies from the north. If he was as you say one of the best warriors, then I guess she knew her husband would die and was ready to die instead of living as a slave under Khilji. And did so in a johar so as not to leave a body for him to find because he would've even abused the dead body.
This is a real story. They sacrificed their lives so that Khilji although winning the war can't win as he wanted Rani Padmavati.
SHEEN STORE based on a poem.
@@anuragbohra9803 It has historical importance , ashes and other jewellery very found from the recent day jauhar kund , which dated about 700 years old
anurag bohra Jauhar was a real practice and actually happened in history. It is not fiction
Padmavati commited sati not a johar
@@hunter-ej9bw Sati is when a widow burns herself or is being forced to burn herself by her in laws on her husband's pyre. What Padmavati did was Jauhar and different. It was not only for her husband but to preserve the purity and dignity of all the women. Sati and jauhar are illegal today and Deepika herself said that this movie does not endorse that any woman does that today.
Now u can understand why Indian culture,it's history is so mangnificent.
And they are saying its fictional story ! Morons
At 08:25 you can see them feeding each other paan. I am from Rajasthan and my grandmother used to tell me that in old times when people did Jauhar and Sati, women would eat a special kind of paan that had a sedative in it so they did not feel the fire when it happened.
Wow.... I didn't know this...!!!
That makes sense!
Wow I never knew this !!
Thanxx .. Please share more of these things about olden times, I wanna know more of it
@Moonmoon Pati um no! Sati was basically putting the woman in fire after her husband dies! Get your facts straight
@@khadijashamshi nope , it was a woman's voluntary sacrifice . check the records of sati cases .
Iman A. Hi I think it is bela patri which is 3 part leaf which is important for shiva and eate by ppl who fast during shivatri to please shiva and Rani padmavati was shiv Bhakti, so they fed bel patri to to finish the fasting before jauhar
this was the first indian film i went to see at the cinema, here in Sydney. i loved it and this scene like, shook me to my core. It was so epic, so sad but the strength of those women. but the agony of burning alive is unimaginable to most us (it almost happened to me when i was 22), so yeh, was an amazing film and ill never forget this ending.
Thanks Nico , its our history . In Indian culture we'd rather die than let a Muslim take our dignity :)
}
@Ksjs Jdjdb And I hate to break it to you, but it did actually happen.
@Ksjs Jdjdb "Jauhar, sometimes spelled Jowhar or Juhar, was a Hindu(Rajput) practice of mass self-immolation by women, or otherwise execution by their husbands, fathers or brothers, in India, to avoid capture, enslavement and rape by an invading Islamic army, when facing certain defeat during a war. Some reports of jauhar mention women committing self-immolation along with their children. This practice was historically observed in northwest regions of India, with most famous jauhars in recorded history occurring during wars between Hindu Rajput kingdoms in Rajasthan and the opposing muslim armies. However jauhar is performed during war, usually when there was no chance of victory. The practice was accompanied by saka, or a last stand in battle."
A little something from Wikipedia..
It is based on a true event...soory to say but.... our maa (mother) padmavati did this to save rajput's dignity instead of accepting a Muslim...and we rajput's and Indian worship her...she is like a goddess to us...and not only this there are several history like this.💪💪💪💪
This film is not fiction , it is true story , I am also belong raajput family and I am crazy fan of bhansali , his thinking and creativity is fabulous , thanks for reaction
Ain't your people beat Bhansali and blamed him for having intimate scene between Ranveer and Deepika.
@@angshusarma1908 people are crazy here .. if there were rumours of of sexual tension between a godess and her evil stalker or watever.. people would get mad and jump to conclusions
Padmavati is telling us that women is not a vessel to use. She is independent. This story is real where Devi padmavati sacrifice herself with 16 thousand women against Khilgi, who wants to marry her and also use her, to protect her pride, independence, love and honesty for her husband Devi padmavati sacrificed her life
Khilji did not want to marry her. He lusted after her and wanted to rape and conquer her because he was told she was the 1 women he couldn't have.
Sweetheart it's not crazy, it's actually the reality of Indians' women mentality n inner strength... They can sacrifice life easily rather selfrespect aur dignity
This is called stupidity

Honey it's not crazy it's a trued base story of rajputana queens padmavati who sacrifice her life coz her pride her love for his husband I'd more than the mughal king which wanted her in any cost but she never agreed
They are indian behaving like foreigners
Neha Chauhan nice show no one is Mughal...!
He was khilji not a mughal
Neha Chauhan nice show r u sure about whatever u claim .....it’s not true story ....bcz padmavaat is a fictional character......and padmavat and khujli were exist in 2 different time preiods ......so how khelji fall in love with padmavaat ??? ....U should have done more research about this historical characters then u would know that these characters didn’t even coexists 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.....
@@khanmmm5354
yess you are right.. it's full fictional & there's whole another story that King Hammir dev chauhan's wife was queen ranga devi & she was the first woman from Rajasthan who do "Jal Johar" she drowned herself in a pond btw pond's name was "PaddMala" 🙂🙂 sorry for my bad English.. 🙏
It's an old custom called Jauhar which is killing themself in fire instead of got arrest and lost their pride infront of enemy king... not only paatmavad lot of quees before 14th century did the same.... But those kind of customs are not following now a days....
Red colour is worn by married women in Indian Culture .... It is a very sacred colour for any Hindu married woman....
The Scarf she is carrying I her hand had hand prints of her husband who had permitted her for Jauhar if they loose the war ....
yes you're right
Most Powerful Scene in Bollywood. Bhansali is Master knows how to make it perfect. Powerful Music, Cinematography, Art design and Yes ACTING.
Bros that's not crazy, that's is a true story based on rajputana queen paadmavati who sacrifices her life coz of pride of her husband and safe all rajputana ladies from Mughal ruler to being cruel on them.....today also Rani paadmavati is sacred and still remembered for her sacrifice being made 🤗
This feel me Proud to be a Rajput and Indian women's are like Goddess
This is the real story... in my community, we consider her as a mother goddess or a personification of bravery and sacrifice...she sacrificed herself to protect her pride and modesty....
This is the dignity and self respect that my Indian woman fraternity has through generations 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This has to be the most iconic movie in Bollywood, while the history is in itself one of the greatest victories in time highlighting women power, we cannot ignore that Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his whole entire crew including these exceptional actors have put forward such an, as you said, immaculate work that is definitely un-matched. I mean the scenes, the music just send chills down your spine
Amazing movie .. this scene is epic.😍😢
Padmavati made sure that he can't even see her shadow.
Amazing👌🔥
When hearing these things in present days it sounds like a kind of crazy but it is the greatness of indian women in those days. Because their soul, heart and everything belongs to their husband and family only. They don't like to share it with anyone and the rulers and invaders of those days try to abuse and enslave them. So dying everyday by facing these in their life, they thought to give up their life to the God itself through this sacred fire as fire is considered as a very sacred thing. I am from tamilnadu and I love this film.....
Thanks for reacting to this
This soundtrack is masterpiece.... It gives me goose bumps .
This is the power of indian girl 🇮🇳❤
It's not crazy this is the power of the rajasthani soil ! We will die but never let any person touch even our shadow with wrong intentions . We live, kill or die for our dignity our culture and our nation . This is our indian culture! Proud indian 🙏 proud rajasthani. Jai hind
I loved this movie. It was so crazy because I never really knew what johar was until they started running into the fire. I didn't know what the women were planning.
My blood is not of the Rajput Gharana but I am an Indian and an Indian's self-respect and dignity is above all, he can also give his life for his self-respect, an Indian can do anything to honor him.😤😤😤🙏🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🙏🙏🙏
This jauhar is not only one performed by rajputana. Many are in history
This shows the purity of Indian women that if she had already belonged to a person then she will be not shared to another person . It was not crazy this was the truth
In today's world we all had wittnessed what had happened to yazidi girls. If these atrocities are being done in 21st centuary than u know what might happen to rajputanis if they have been captures by barbaric khilji. This is also a reason why several other girls/ladies/children self immolated themselves
Apt comparison
Rajputana women even now they are known for their pride and valor. Massive respects.
She was a princess in the 1700s and it breaks my heart when people think he never existed (myth) shes an ancestor and guided the women to salvation instead of slavery. Proud to say she died with amazing honor.

@@priyankagautam7728 rajputs have always covered, it's just a part of the culture regardless of religion
Practices that restricted women's mobility and behavior existed in India since ancient times and intensified with the arrival of Islam. By the 19th century purdah became customary among Hindu elites.
They are not covering because that's a mark of respect ..not cowardice. These are courageous women who do not hide their faces
No cause it’s a movie & without expressions we can’t live & understand that moment
@Moonmoon Pati jauhar was that ... sati was barbaric .. women over the country were forced to perform sat, whereas jowhar was a voluntary act

the thing that happened in this scene, was Sis Deepika (Padmavati) doing a ritual of Jauhar, a ritual of burning oneself to maintain self-respect and honor

Rajput culture is very great...
This a practise dat prevailed in da Rajput royal families.... Wen their kings lost .... Instead of choosing to be slaves .... Di women in da palace choose jauhar ... Dressed as brides ... Dey jumped in fire ....

Rajmauli is master director but man i put SLB ahead along with direction, cinematography he also gives epic music, he has the sense of music according to situation & he put the music acc to regions like in BM Marathi & here Rajasthani.
Sanjay leela bansali is one of the inspiration to rajamouli
Rajmauli iss not even 10% of bhansali
Sanjay Leela Bansali movies:
Devdas,
Saanwariya,
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,
Khamoshi,
Black,
Ram Leela,
Guzarish,
Baji Rao Mastani,
Padmavat
Except sawariya all Movies were amazing
They should also make a film on emperor Humayun who actually fought for a rajput queen against sher shah so that she doesn't have to perform jauhar.
Yeah everyone make movies that show just rajput valor and bravery (they clearly haven't shown the good side of Muslim rulers, just Hindus....no hate at all I love my hindu brothers and sisters my best friend is a hindu for 10 years.....no denying they weren't...proud of our history....but they haven't made a movie about the courage and bravery of Muslim kings but just showed how horny they were by marrying multiple etc.

We love you Rani Padmini Majisa! You bring tears to my heart...love you!
Starts at 5:57 yall🙄
There’s nothing controversial about the climax nor it’s portraying any community weak or strong.. the Mughal empire invaded India and we were defending them.. When the king invades all the royal women are abducted n put in harem to avoid such insult they did sacrifice their lives.. Controversy was tht SLB might portray khilji n padmavati relationship in a bad way.. read the history..
Swara Bhaskar was ahead in that list
Don't forget. It's the real story. As a hindu proud to be say sathi was really good on that era.

simply put:
This was war
The king was defeated by the enemy
So when the enemy invaded the fort, all the women there committed mass suicide (real story)
It was either suicide or being raped and ravaged or sold as slaves etc.
You chose the right clip..and you have watched the movie.... Many people who are doing reaction videos are not getting it right...
The history says Rajput Jauhar happened twice in the same Chittor fort.. Many such incidents of sacrifices have happened all over India when there was an attack on "Dharma" - virtue of righteousness
Those who stand by Dharma will be protected by the Dharma itself
This is not a story but history of our Rajasthan (India)
Thats a true story of queen Padamavat she was great queen and wife
