  • This product caught my eye when I was looking for an exhaust cleaner. Started with exhaust, ended with doing the whole motorcycle, followed by bunch of home appliances.
    Very handy and inexpensive product that can bring a shine to your items and a smile on your face.

    The best video with the explanation I found so far! Thank you so much!
    I hope it will work for me eventually.

      Hi. Thanks for feedback. For the price the product is amazing. Do keep in mind it will have strong kerosene like smell when using and do protect areas around your part, especially if it is cloth like shown near carpet as it will dirty it. Best of luck, hope it works as hoped.

    I first get into contact with this product when I was a kid and my bicycle has some rust spots on the handlebars, the owner of the hardware shop suggest me this tube of autosol and it buffs the rust right off the handlebar, I think the same tube is still somewhere in the garage, 18 years later.

    Can we use it on stainless steel watch band ??

    • @Edsdrafts
      @Edsdrafts  6 лет назад +2

      Yes you can, I have used it on my Casio watch. Just clean it well and rinse it off afterwards with soapy water to make sure it doesn't get to your shirt or anything.

      Yes , just some of it will get squeeze in between the links , just use a tooth brush to scrub them out.

    Yeah pretty right about application on chromed part Verses cast aluminum or stainless steel parts. Not good on long term use on chromed parts.

    Is it safe on polishing feed ramp or other metal parts of a gun?

    • @Edsdrafts

      I don't see why not, unless it's painted or old restored item that might be sensitive to oil etc.

    Dude, i have to know if it has a micro abrasive materal or not ???
    Damn i accidentally scratch my luxury watch bezel, polishing it on watchmaker/dealer cost way too much which is such an unreasonable price for me, one of the watchmaker i know in there suggest an alternative to me if i can buy a compund like this who has an abrasive material on it. Here in my country this autosol only cost 75 cent, idk why its so chaep lol.. your reply would be greatly appreciated mate, thank you so much :))

      If you have precious item like this - let the jeweler do the job. Autosol is an amazing product and it will always have it's place in my toolbox. But for some items I would just be careful.
      I am nearly certain it has abrasive beads in it, otherwise it would not do the job it does but good bit of magic is in chemistry.
      If you are up for it, try on similar item and see the results. Do try to watch it over time as well.

      It works so perfecto mate and iam glad nothings happen untill now. I even bought an $200 compund and this cheapest one is better, lol its pure waste.

    I want clean a polish my turntable platter. Is this a good product to use?

    • @Edsdrafts
      @Edsdrafts  5 лет назад +2

      It depends on what it's made of. If metal - you should be good to go.
      My only recommendation is to remove it if at all possible and after cleaning use something like dish soap and warm water to get the smell of the paste off. It does smell a bit like kerosene. Not as much though once wiped off.

      Eds drafts thank you for your advice!

      @@playbackvintagehifihunter9669 you are welcome. One more thing to keep in mind - sometimes dull matte aluminium look is preferred. This paste will make it shine like mirror - might not be ideal look you are going for.

      Eds drafts thank again Ed. The turntable is a Thorens TD160, the edge has a look of marks on it and does look quite dull. But I am definitely after a shiny finish 🙂

      @@playbackvintagehifihunter9669 Nice unit. Go for it. You can always reference to pictures of new from the web for what to shine what not. This stuff really does shine metals well. And plastics as well although I would stick to plastic specific polishers for that.

      Do these look like potato mirrors to you?

    • @Edsdrafts
      @Edsdrafts  4 года назад

      The mirrors are off motorcycle so yes you can. Just don't use on paint, polished metal parts only (and most chrome).

    • @Edsdrafts
      @Edsdrafts  4 года назад +1

      @@boris9705 they look like (and possibly are) original Honda BROS mirrors from 1990s on a just as old bike that I rode just few years back and had a ton of fun. So not bad for a potato.

      @@Edsdrafts Haha I can relate. Been riding and driving old stuff myself. Also, thanks a BUNCH for this Autosol thing. I went ahead and bought it here in Bulgaria (surprised they had it) and scrubbed pretty much anything metal that wasn't shining: sink, other kitchenware, motorcycle brake and clutch handles, any chrome parts, headlight, rear lights etc. This is legendary and I mean same category as WD-40, duct tape, zipties and a hammer.
