I have a treat for you guys! Met up with a very friendly Canadian named Pete. This dude is rocking a complete NES, N64 and Virtual Boy collection! His whole basement is an ode to Nintendo. It's a thing of beauty. He even has Stadium Events. He was gracious enough to allow me to make a video tour for you guys. Sorry about the camera work.
This is my kinda guy he has almost the complete collection of almost every gaming system out there from old to new and he's still collecting man what an accomplishment.

AdamKoralik Yeah, it's in my hometown... I've been to MAGFest and MGC and it's about the size of both of them put together in terms of retro games.
I believe the second travel case came from Video One distributors (Toronto,Canada) I managed a video rental store during the N64 launch and I bought cases from Video One that looked exactly like that. They also made them for SNES , Tubro Grafx, Genesis and eventually 3DO. Saturn and Playstation.

Actually my profession is film and video. Though honestly, most of my income comes from stock management. But that's not really a job.

I have a lot if games, and have often thought of seriously collecting every game for a system. Then I see someone with every game and see how there is no fun in having every game, only the hunt. I understand how you sometimes see ebay auctions with complete collections. Now if I can only cure my amiibo addiction. Nice vids, by the way.

I have an N64 travel case like that, though it isn't the same exact one. I think I got it from Funcoland back in the day. It has the foam like on the top of that one and a slotted out area for the N64 and controllers in the plastic, but no foam for the bottom. Mine also has a random blank spot with no label in the center.

Anyhow I have hella respect for collectors like this, it's inspiring to see the knowledge he actually has on his stuff, or at least tries to gather intel opposed to the sentimental collectors who go the full yard for the hell of it.
By the way I don't usually go out of my way to notice but, I like Mrs. Claws' make-up choice in this video. And she still pulls off the "why am I even here?!" gimmick like a champ haha.

yes that is the blockbuster rental box. It is missing the smaller square N logo near the latch and the larger rectangular logo on the top that just said Nintendo 64 with the N logo.

AdamKoralik It was not JUST a blockbuster rental box it was also a rental box for the now defunct Hollywood Video. I worked at Hollywood Video in the 90s and when they tried to open a videogame section of the store they used these for rental systems, but would ALSO order extras and use them to complete sets of many game systems that didn't have boxes in order to sell them on the videogame side of the store. I own one myself that looks exactly the same on the outside. Of course the foam insert was to allow for N64. The one I own is a later release that was all plastic inside and contained a molds that fit N64, PS1 original, Dreamcast and possibly the Saturn although I have never tried to put my Saturn in it. I can attest that this case WORKS awesome for travel. A couple years ago I was hit by a drunk driver at 50 MPH completely totaling my car, I had this case in the back seat with my PS1 that I have had since 1997. The case was dented slightly in a corner (that I popped back out later) but the PS and both controllers were in perfect condition.

AdamKoralik Not a huge collection, but some great games to play, maybe a system with backwards compatibillity is good choice to start?
I have a GameCube with a GameBoy Player for example.
I'm not looking to make complete collections, NES for example would be impossible to me, it has like 700 games I think....
NeedMoreMushrooms The original XBox is super cheap right now, good place to start. If you want cartridges, I suggest the Genesis. Hasn't exploded the way NES and SNES stuff has.

I tried to get some good ones but they are a sod to get selling out to fast in preorders.

I was kind of interested in Amiibos briefly, but then just decided "eh, that's something I just don't need."
Cool i can understand with all the hard times people are having to get hold of them. A real shambles with stocking stores with amiibo.
AdamKoralik They are good for shelf dressing and for the minor perks they give in game. I got Link and Zelda for what you can get out of them in Hyrule Warriors.

For a while there I thought I was watching a new paranormal activity film...........til no ghosts showed up at all.
Great vid though all the same. Awesome collection and kept me entertained even if I was a little let down by the lack of paranormal things. In fact the only downside I could think of for this vid, is that it looks like it could be somewhat offputting if trying to masturbate too. But if some of you can look past that, then it's a great video.
