Thank you, had the exact same problem.
Dryer gets smoking hot and stops with HE code after 10-15 mins. Good continuity through coil and no short to ground. 10K on thermistor 1. Thermostat 1, 2 and 3 have continuity.

It sounds like you have a heat relay with fused contacts. If so, replacing the board will take care of it.
@@TheTechCircuit ...Thanks still waiting for $200 board. Wish I looked in FB market before ordering. Saw the same dryer not far away for $85. Could have stripped out all the good parts and had spares for a while!
Also decided to bail on Samsung. Selling the stacked washer/dryer after it's fixed. Did a Cyber deal on GE 85 series and switching to gas dryer.

Hi, My name is Tony. I hope somebody could help. One day my Samsung (10 years old DV218AEW/XAC) electric dryer stops after 20 secs start-up and hE code appears. I checked and cleaned out the filter. The tube from the filter housing to the back is blocked solid with dog hair, wet lint. I cleaned everything out, blow-dried the vent completely with my garden blower. Still starts and stops after 20 secs. What could be the problem? Thank you so much for your help.
If you get an HE error and the dryer is still cold, it is probably a bad thermistor per the video. If not it could be a shorted heating element or a stuck relay on the board. Given that it is only 20 seconds, I'd lean toward the thermistor.

This can happen in gas and electric dryers? I ask because this happens more often when the dryer is loaded more heavily. If I remove a few towels the HE error happens way less frequently. The filter is clear as well as the ventilation system.
Yes. It sounds lie in your case, though that it is venting related.
@@TheTechCircuit it is happening more and more often now. I am at 12 years with the dryer and thinking a fix is probably not worth it now. Air ducts are snaked and clear. Things take forever to dry and it doesn't even seem as though the dryer heats up before the HE code being thrown. It's probably time for a new dryer lol.
