    Imagine trading an All Star caliber peformer on super team friendly contract for a "maybe, possibly" type of guy. This makes no sense to me... If Mobley is that guy, he can still be that guy for the 10-15 minutes a game he shares the court with Allen... Why trade a guy who played 80 games in a row when Mobley misses time every season. Whose gonna start in Mobley's place when he inevitably gets hurt? DO NOT TRADE ALLEN...

    Agree Danny...bet on Evan's ceiling/upside. Hope he becomes that #1...Most importantly the Cavs need to regain their focus on Evan's development!

    Wanting to run it back is just plain and simple GM speak! The core 4 right now earn 96 mill per year...that will soon skyrocket to 150+ mill per year. In other words we are approaching the 2nd apron/salary cap hell! Fit and the salary cap are the 2 main reason why at least 1 of the core 4 will be traded. Koby needs to focus on improving the positional size and length at the 3 and in the backcourt. We are way too small 1 thru 3! If DM signs...expect DG to get moved for sure...Rich Paul; who wants to get richer...is already thinking about DG's next contract...won't be with the Cavs!

  • @scottmgso
    @scottmgso 5 месяцев назад

    Welcome Danny! I can hear your enthusiasm! I am not buying Koby’s dictum that he doesn’t think that he needs to break up the core. I think they need a legit sf and the only way to get it, is to trade DG or JA (assuming Donovan resigns). I wouldn’t hate to see JA with the team one more year while Mobley gets more muscle and seasoning.

    --During that stretch last season that the cavs won seventeen out of eighteen games, Allan played like an all star. During that same stretch there was no garland and no mobley.
    -- During that same stretch, the cavaliers were holding the best teams in the league to under one hundred points. Almost immediately upon garland's return, opponents were scoring easily over 100 poin and the cavs return to mediocrity and never returned to greatness. They were the MOST feared team in the league.
    -- The new head coach need to figure out the dynamics of that situation. They still have the same players that won seventeen out of eighteen. A few things to consider when trying to figure it out:
    1) They played a one point guard offense.
    2) DM Was surrounded by defenders and shooters. ( Under no circumstances can garland be considered a good defender.
    3) The offense was in continual motion and DM was clearly in his element, driving and dishing shooting and playing sound defense.
    4)other?

    Jarret Allen represents Cleveland and our fans the way we want to be represented. He played his best season ever last season and was amazing. On a team friendly deal. If we trade this man we will live to regret that choice.

    How about this...Jarrett Allen can shoot 3s....did you know that??...he even has a HIGHLIGHT MIX from college to pros...shooting threes...lots of corner 3s too...thats why im glad we fired JB Bickerstaff..because of his play calls...rotations...matchups..sets...he completely went away from what worked...like a PEON...😅😅..we have a great team..fun fact...did you know that when the cavs had 31 or more assists this season...they were UNDEFEATED!??...and so with ball movement and running the 4 out 1 in....with Jarrett Allen being the corner3 and evan mobley setting the screen and dominating at the rim..its ABSOLUTELY a formula for success as uou saw when they won 21 out of 24 games....jb just didnt knoww what he was doing...

    Disagree with the take but fresh new voice. If Donovan decides to leave, you absolutely would keep Darius that just seems like common sense. It doesn’t really matter if he’s a part of a dying breed of basketball player, he would be able to get a lot of guys more shots and also having the ability and freedom to take more shots, he’s going to make more shots Before we do anything dramatic we need to get a new coach who has a diverse sense of office get our guys back on defense and then potentially trade at deadline.

  • @LebronJames-kd6pw

    Also, I highly doubt DG is capable of becoming and wanting to become a catch and shoot type of player. He is a rhythm shooter who likes to get his dribble going and shoot after dribbling several times. He likes to dribble and have the ball in his hands.

    I miss Evan but I’ll give it a chance… lotta reading the screen going on. Dono is great but defo not top 10 unless you rule out every player that’s over 30. I think it would be a mistake to breakup the backcourt unless they get a bona fide 6’5”+ star back regardless of what Rich Paul yaps about.

      This is dumb. He’s been an all-star, and his 2022-23 season was even better. This season, his down year, he still averaged 18/6.5 shooting 45/37. You guys act like he was way worse than he was.

  • @FloydPhillipsII
    @FloydPhillipsII 5 месяцев назад +3

    Why does one guy need to be traded for another guy to shine? Anthony Davis averaged 25-12 while playing beside another big. It's about coaching. We can all agree that Bickerstaff's offense was non existent for most of the year. So, get a coach in there that actually cares about offense. Have him design a system, and move forward with that. Bothbigs can average 20+ & 10 if the ball is placed in their hand to initiate offense, like Allen did in January/February. The offense changed when Garland returned to the lineup, not when Mobley did... DO NOT TRADE ANYONE. Get an offensive coach...

    • @theworstyoutuberalive6893
      @theworstyoutuberalive6893 5 месяцев назад +1

      With Anthony Davis playing next to Demarcus Cousins, do you think Mobley should shoot 6+ threes a game and float to the perimeter like Cousins did for the 70 games they played together? And do you think Allen can clear out to the corner and have his man have to still play him honest on the 3 point line so Mobley can penetrate like AD did for Cousins on those teams?

    • @FloydPhillipsII
      @FloydPhillipsII 5 месяцев назад

      @@theworstyoutuberalive6893 Yes and Yes. Both bigs are very skilled, and still young and improving. Create high-low actions. You need two bigs in the playoffs as we just learned...

      @@FloydPhillipsII Allen has never shown he can handle the ball nearly as well as Cousins or Davis ever could, and Allen can’t shoot 36% from three consistently, to just say “Be like 2 of the 5 best big man in the league at the time” is a little much to expect when we know what Jarrett Allen is and still have a raw offensive product in Mobley. Allen is in year 8, he’s not making any major jumps to somehow become Boogie. Mobley COULD make the jump to be a top 5 big, but we’re banking on growth and potential, not prior success on the offensive end.

      @@FloydPhillipsII I agree that the Cavs need an offensive minded coach and it’ll help the growth of Mobley offensively, but Allen is what he is at this point, I don’t see him spacing the floor and ever being a threat the way you’d need him to be from the perimeter to let Mobley use his God given abilities to his advantage as much as he should be using them.

    Dump DG & Allen, dump Okoro, dump LeVert. Extend Mitch, keep Mobley. Proceed from there. This current roster isn’t elite. The only two that have elite characteristics are Mitch & Mobley. Mitch leaves this team & I’ll just stop watching. Cavs without LBJ are the 3rd fiddle in the CLE pro sports market anyway.

  • @pranadiabetesprogram

    It hurts to recommend trading JA, because he's a great person and very easy to root for. But that's probably what they should do.
    The fact is, the Cavs will continue to need a good point guard, and they are very unlikely to get a better one than DG. The basic problem with the roster is that the entire team is guards and centers. Nothing in between (except for Dean Wade). So they should probably trade JA (unfortunately) and some combination of their many good guards to get a good pure 4 and a good 3. With the traffic jam in the middle broken up and the floor spaced out, the backcourt will thrive.
