Hes become so underrated for the past few seasons
because they are haters
Lets not forget he was in the top 2 shooting guards last season
He's become too underrated!
this year too , he has always been #2 behind dbook
@@stayinoutdaway762idk I would say 3 behind ANT and Booker. If you consider Shai a pg
@@stayinoutdaway762 no rn ant is number one infront of dbook lets be honest now
@@TheGamingShogun shai is a pg yea
Donovan Mitchell is my favorite player of all time and you explain his game perfectly thank you 🕷️
Getting to the bucket more has really helped him still be just as effective even in bad shooting games
“Closest thing we have to a running back” Dude realistically he probably would be a pretty good running back 😂
the closest thing we have to a running back would be giannis
@@sssamui286Nah Giannis Is Too Tall To Be A Runningback. He Wouldn’t Last Half A Season
@@greedyonxbox gianis is a defensive end all the way
@@JoeyplaysgamesLoL Totally Lol, Something On The Line But No Skill Player. They’d Just Take His Knees Out

Great video and I love the impossible to guard videos, i even got a playlist of them because it helps me become a better player
If Mitchel beats Boston, he definitely will get to the finals, it’s definitely possible with there length they are one of the teams that match up well with Boston. Unfortunately the media makes it seem like they just will fail but they definitely have the talent. It’s just expected for brown n Tatum to get it done
As always Hoop an excellent film Breakdown of how Mitchell attacks defense. My one knock on Mitchell has always been his defense. He has been compared to his idol D-Wade who I watched play in his prime and Mitchell isn't an elite on-ball defender but he has the size, strength, an athleticism it just comes down to putting for the effort(which he does occasionally) and having the defensiveinstincts.
Love the analysis
this why i love your vids. always orecise
Fantastic analysis man. Donovan Mitchell is an extremely talented dude 💯
I can't decide if Mitchell is worth building around. As a Jazz fan, of course I love him. His performance against the Thunder in 2018 as a rookie still has me floundered. On one hand, I think he would be very good as a primary ball handler and play maker on a team, on the other hand, I sort've subscribe to your best player needs to be at least around 6'6", Ant maybe the one exception, to win a title.
Possibly the best use for him is to be the pg on a team, but is not the 1rst option. I would like to see him on a team where he paired with a guy with size in the back court. I think he could run the offense, but even in that position, he shouldn't have the burden to carry the team in scoring. Rather, I would like his role to be 2nd option on offense (though he's the PG running the offense, most of the plays called are to setup the #1 guy to score), making use of his off ball and on ball capabilities. The reason for this is that when he doesn't have most of the offensive burden for the team, he will have the energy to play both sides of the floor. In Utah, it often felt like he was too gassed to play defense because his burden on the offensive end was too great.
Great video man
Appreciate it!
Thanks for this video. I'd like to request a video to see how Mitchell does on defense.
He playing on a bum knee rn too. Can’t even dunk atm and is avg 38 in the playoffs
He’s not averaging 38
@@cookn6732 the very first sentence in this video says over his last 4 he is avg 38. But nice comprehension
@@seamusmooney1308are you dumb he play 9 playoff games so far why are you going off 4
@@seamusmooney1308 Averaging 38 in the last 4 isn't the same as averaging 38 in the playoffs, they've played what 11 or 12 games now.
@@donjulio1033 well this video came out before the Celtics series in which he was avg that amount. Combined he is still avg 35 but thanks for being pedantic
This is a great analysis for slashing guards
I love that running back analogy. He does look like Saquan Barkley navigating between the tackles.
Super video, but can someone plz tell me the name of the two players with a 100 rim fg%
0:37 "One of the leagues most impressi-" *jarret allen casually tears acl*
Where can you find these advanced stats?
This guy was great now he's turned on hall of fame mode
Love the anaylsis
Did... Did you say 6'10" wingspan? On a 6'2" guard? Holy...
Can’t wait till you make a Celtics video
Dudes definitely underrated as of late
Man glad i made it early
I am too!
I wonder what kind of camera that first clip was shot on it almost looks like film.
24 seconds ago is crazy
🔥🔥
bro didnt even wait shot clock violation to watch the video
Donny AKA Spider-Man's been showing his inner 2018 'Bron with how talented this lad is. He shows no signs of stopping regardless of who's guarding him.
Better than Ant actually.

Not defensively

Donovan Mitchell UNSTOPPABLE on OFFENSE 🔥🔥🔥🔥
he's so disrespected. this season he stepped up on playing off the ball and passing, and continued to step up defensively.
get SPIDA outta Cleveland or move Mobley for a usable outside threat/better asset in general. i just don’t have faith in CLE’s shooting development (for Mobley) specifically. not in the short time they have to make a serious run at the East. they’ll lose to BOS in 6 or 7 and they’ll continue to lose to more talented teams as Jarret & Mobley both remain -5 3pt att. per AND - 38%3tp% shooters. as well as non-playmakers.
LeVert has also been a player that needed to be moved last szn. he’s either on the injury report…or plays like he thinks it’s ‘18
and he’s in BKN or something. a shot-jacker & a quick-fouler.
Keep Okoro forever, i feel like Rubio retiring opened a void that’s never really been filled. there’s no trustworthy playmaker in the -D.Mitch minutes. I wish Mobley was more Banchero than Late Miami Bosh.
Mobley a hooper, he just needs time. But I agree there’s some holes needed to be fixed. Mitch is him and we need to do everything to retain him
@@seamusmooney1308 Cle just not a good developing team as of rn. they were a lil bit when they had Gee, Waiters, Kai, Varejao, TT & stuff but that staff is gone a & i just don’t have faith that they can get him where he actually needs to be for a title run NEXTSZN. they need him able to either initiate offense better in the half court or work on his 3 pt shooting and his passing out of the diver spot (cutter on a high p&r with a spread or advantage numbers wise on the break). and fast. and be really good at it under pressure. i just don’t see it.
Donovan Mitchell is on jalen Brunson level
He's better, I need to see Brunson be great for at least another season before I rate him that high
All time yea but individually I feel Mitchell is too inconsistent while Brunson has been consistently playing at a high level this season
brunson is better right now
Brunson numbers are inflated because the dude usage rate is the highest in NBA history..
Donovan Mitchell becoming Kyrie Irving
Not even remotely close. Kyrie Irving is a 50-40-90 player who is the best ball handler in NBA History, a crafty finisher at the rim, quicker, with a post up game standing at 6'1 3/4 guard.
@@koolkai4299 This is exactly why i said "becoming".
Imagine ..Kyrie irving and Donovan Mitchell is your backcourt With Defender's and 3 point shooters around Them Who Stopping Them
@@koolkai4299kryie always been a Robin and dmitch is an ace without another superstar
Definitely a video of all time
Yo hoop how you feel on shai in playoffs top 5 player so far?
I'd say he's played at that level. Especially impressed with his passing over the first 2 games of the Dallas series!
@@HoopVenue and also last question who do you think has been the best playoff player this season
I’d probably go with Ant so far.
Jokic has been great but very underwhelmed with the defense.
Better offensive player in 2024 Embiid or Mitchell ?
before or after Embiid's injury?
Fully healthy I’d take Embiid, but that’s a big pretty ask at this point.
Healthy Embiid is arguably the best player in the league. Even while hobbled he's still very good offensively but Donavan is clearly better.
@@HoopVenue yeah 😂the big fella is running on 57 year old knees at this point
Now imagine if Denver kept him after the draft..
Then Denver would be unstoppable
Imagine if the nuggets never traded him
Reminds me of my fav player ever d.wade
Exactly dwade 2.0
One thing I notice Brunson and Mitchell have that Tatum is lacking is a trust in their subconscious decision making. A trust in their bodies and minds to be able to make decisions as the play unfolds, rather than predetermining what they are going to do and having to stick with it no matter how the D reacts. I think that is like the #1 swing skill that determines whether a volume scorer will be able to up their game come playoff time/when intensity and effort ups a notch. Can they just play and react and trust in their ability to read and react with alllll of their various moves they know they have mastered. Watching it in live action I feel like it doesn’t always make it clear if a move was pre panned or not, but the more you watch and study the more you can tell which guys are just starting an attack and then able to counter out of it with whatever they need to, on the FLY. It’s honestly not easy, BUT I think it all comes down to letting go, and just trusting in your work and your subconscious body and mind.
Respectfully I jus wanna see the wolves nuggets breakdown. I noticed Denver attacking that baseline
Mitchell>book
He moves like
Dwayne wade bru
He has really strong legs, gives him a strong base. Dame also credits his shooting to weightlifting legs.
He also wears a size 17 shoe and he's only 6'2-6'3 so that probably helps too, he also has a very big wingspan for his height so even tho he's only like 6'2 he plays like a wing player
Imagine ..Kyrie irving and Donovan Mitchell is your backcourt With Defender's and 3 point shooters around Them Who Stopping Them
Get this man on the Lakers
Dinwiddie/Mitchell/LBJ/AD/Wood who beats this team???
He’s going to the heat
Bro y’all Heat players always wanna steal the Cavs star players lol
Best 2 guard inna league still.
whos better right now, Brunson or Mitchell? 🤔
it would be nice if Cleveland takes this to 6-7 games
It maybe because of fatigue or to not get injured that he doesnt get the ball as much to be the playmaker.
As good as this is. We all know this type of game does not win chips... D Rose, Russ, Harden, and the list goes on...
As a Cleveland fan, Garland needs to take notes
Hes simply not as strong and athletic as d mitch is
If he would cut more off ball he could do so much more. Don't be like lebron Mitchell, please dude.
Dovanan Mitchell needs help im glad he’s not passing the ball to hes teammates they are so unreliable
mitchell is 6'3 and 225lbs
6’1.5
@@ry_an. officially listed at 6’3, but if he’s actually 6’1.5 it’s even more impressive to have a 6’10 wingspan at 6’1
real
He's a HIGH STAKES PLAYER
2:24 shouldn't he pass to the wide open dude inside the paint...
Y’all call anyone “impossible to guard”

3 views 1 minute falling off confirmed
😔
stop creating those video title lol. just a few game and he is guardable. you know it and i know it LOL
the amount of carries and travels in this video is insane
I think he's a great player but that's what I see too..he carries alot
Fair… but so does Luka, Irving, and many other very successful players so until the league starts to call it, u can’t really knock him for it.
Everyone does in the nba, watching this series every Tatum post up is a carry
@@MrWatts2323dude this is the nba thats not even a call anymore 20th century not the 80 or 90 😅😅😅
nba dont call that shit anymore whole leauge does it smh

Man stop it nobody scared of ausar Thompson lmfao he ain't stopping Mitchell
