I really love this bootie pattern. You did a great tutorial. You are very easy to follow. Thank you so much. I plan on doing the matching hat and mittens too!
Thank for sharing I love theses booties I made a pair in blue and a pair in pink and so easy to crochet I like when you go step by step perfect enjoy your holiday be safe❤
Love this pattern, thank you for identifying one stitch or both stitches, it really helps with being a beginner, your voice is great and you speak so well it's easy to understand what you're doing, keep crocheting
I love how you introduce different stitches- it’s just enough of a recap for those of us who don’t crochet every day! I just made my first bootie and it came out so cute! I seem to have made the sole slightly more of a “right” type sole but hopefully I can straighten it out on the next bootie 🤞🤞 thanks so much for making this tutorial!
Do you have any videos on how to make matching bonnets, sweaters and booties for beginners? I know it's a big ask, but you make the blanket tutorials so easy to follow, I thought I'd ask.
These are so adorable. I bought the pattern and would love to give it a try. Your instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Oh Kelly what amazing comments, thank you so much!!! I can’t tell you how much it means to me. I’d love to make more! Is there anything in particular you’d like a video of?
@@jototheworldcreations Honestly I have no idea. I love doing different types of afghans but that might not be what you enjoy doing. Currently we are expecting our first granddaughter in May so I'm listening to all the baby stuff I can. Baby clothes, different patterns of booties, sweaters, blankets, and hats I'm currently watching. Really, whatever you enjoy doing.
I absolutely love your videos. Watched so many. Trying to make booties. You explain everything so well. Very easy to understand. Plus your voice is so soothing soothing ❤ ❤
I made a pair of these today. They came out quite well. I'm at intermediate level but appreciate your detailed instructions, plus you have a sweet voice. Thanks a lot :)
I found your channel by searching for a beginner baby blanket. You are a great teacher. Easy to follow and see what you are doing....thank you! However, one constructive criticism...you are very hard to hear even with my volume all the way up. I know nothing about making videos, but maybe consider some sort of additional microphone as you film? Great videos in the making, though and I have subscribed.
Thank you very much for this feedback. I have found that it really depends on the device as most have no troubles hearing me, even at low volume. I appreciate you letting me know and I will check it out for future videos. For this video, I have instructions on the screen in the top right corner for every stitch and you can watch with subtitles. Hope that helps! Thank you for your subscribing and for your kind words!
Thx...you did a great job, very easy to follow, but the only thing is when I used a lightweight #3 yarn to get a 3.75- 4.0 sole( 3 to 6 months) I had to use a 4/G hook. I started out with a 3.5 hook and that only gave me a barely a 3 in. Which is nb
I love how you show these booties but please can you show me the new born. Love love how you explain very nice and clear to me because I’m learning. My new grand child born in August 2022
Thank you so much!!! The instructions for the newborn size are exactly the same. The only difference is you use a D/3 (3.25mm) hook. And then when making the shoelace, chain until you have a shoelace that is 12” long. That is approximately 60 very tight chains but measure to ensure your chains = 12”. Hope this helps! And congratulations on your new grandchild!
Hi there! All my patterns are designed and tested with the yarn weight and hook that is listed in the pattern. You are welcome to try something else but the size, overall look and feel of your finished item as well as the amount of yarn required may be different. Here is my guide to yarn weights & types that you might find helpful: jototheworld.com/yarn-weights-and-types-chart Unfortunately I can’t say what hook size to use if you’re going to use a different weight yarn as I’ve only designed, made and tested this pattern with the yarn weight and hook size listed in the pattern.
Hi Jo!! I was wondering. Could you send me measurements for a newborn bootie? I can't seem to find it on your page. Again thank you so much for this easy to follow video. Hugs
Sure! Here you go: CROCHET BABY BOOTIES - NEWBORN FINISHED SIZE Sole length (from tip of toe to heel): 3”- 3.25” Width of heel: 1.75” Width of ball of foot: 2.25” Height (from bottom of sole to top of cuff): 2.5”
I had to redo my first chain a few times and when I left my slip knot a bit looser it helped. Also I accidentally went into chain 1 instead of 2, which left an extra chain that blocked me tightening it

Greag tutorial. I made one bootie already. The only issue is that it seems like a bootie for the right side foot.
Thank you! The bootie does curve a little bit but it can be worn on either the right or left foot. 😀
