Based on our study as a Railway Engineer. In 2003 only LRT-2 phase one was operated. Stations from Santolan to Araneta-Cubao, and it was on the birthday of former president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. A year later, the remaining stations were being inaugurated except for Recto, which opened on October 29, 2004. Although the original design of LRT-2 was from Antipolo to Tutuban, East stations such as Masinag and Mariki-Pasig stations had some delays due to different issues that came up, while in Tutuban station, where I have no idea yet if they'll still push it through since there where lot of roads, buildings, and businesses will be affected if they will continue the construction. As per why the Philippines don't construct a subway or railway that goes through the city center, first, yes, it is because of the cost, but also it is a very long process, rights of way, and the availability of technology. But the good news is that the Metro Manila Subway Project has already begun, the tunnel boring machines that will be used in the project are already here in the Philippines, and soil testing is underway already. It will connect north to south, with a direct link to the airport. It is funded by the Japanese government through a loan agreement via JICA.
Yes, LRT Line 2 is Very Delayed, So Please, the Government with president BBM, Should Implement the Land Acquisition Reforms, and have a China Style Land Acquisition, that Fast-Tracks the Construction of Infrastructure, and in my opinion, the Maharlika Fund is Considered Good News because it helps the Philippines to Become First-World, and Full of Infrastructures, because without Sovereign Wealth Fund, the 4 Asian Tigers will Not Become First-World, so meaning, to say, I Can't afford the Waiting for more than 5 Years for a Metro Line to Be Completed, we need only 4-5 Years, for Both the PNR-NSCR and Metro Manila Subway to be Completed, and Inside of it, it will look like China's Modern Subway, and Railway Stations, and Because Metro Manila Subway is Near to the CBDs, it will require a Robot Train Pusher that is More Efficient, for the Commuters to be Packed to the Train during the Rush Hours.

Yes the Subways underground is actually not cheap... In context the ongoing Metro Manila subway cost is 10 Billion dollars with 16 stations and run 33 kilometers... While elevated Mrt in Metro Manila cost only 1-3 billion USD... The Jakarta-Bandung High speed train cost 8 billion USD...
I still remember back when the route was still shorter, Santolan to Cubao. I think that was back in 2004 when we rode it. Eventually, it became part of my daily commute as a college student, lots of good memories there.
Construction of an underground train is three times more expensive than an elevated train, but the construction time is not much different. Maintenance of underground stations is higher and repairs are higher. In Thailand, especially in Bangkok, it is mostly Thai companies that can build all the civil works because we have Thai companies that also accept construction work abroad.

Nice tried transport train, maganda po malls inside🚈😁😇🙏💪❤️
Yes the Subways underground is actually not cheap... In context the ongoing Metro Manila subway cost is 10 Billion dollars with 16 stations and run 33 kilometers... While elevated Mrt in Metro Manila cost only 1-3 billion USD... The Jakarta-Bandung High speed train cost 8 billion USD...
Christmas decors are up already there in Robinsons!!
I still remember back when the route was still shorter, Santolan to Cubao. I think that was back in 2004 when we rode it. Eventually, it became part of my daily commute as a college student, lots of good memories there.
It is called LRT but this is a heavy rail / full metro rapid transit system.
Hi Mergim pls do mrt-lrt tour. All stations.. from Taft to Muñoz ..from doroteo Jose to antipolo.. from north to Taft..
It's now 51.8k subs Sept 5/22...Gogogo
Hi Mergim, if you have more time, try to explore Northern Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro for more vlogging experience. and have side trips to Camiguin Island, Bukidnon and Siargao Beaches. Looking forward for more amazing vlogs.
Still waiting for LRT1 Extension going south and NSCR in the north. You must try PNR's San Pablo - Lucena Line.
I'm "bitin" by the video 😁, it's a tagalog word which means "left hanging". You just officially have caught a snippet of the start of the Philippine Christmas season at the tail end of your video. As you probably already know (or not), the Philippines celebrates the longest Christmas season which starts on SeptemBER 1 or the start of the "BER" months so called because these months end in "BER, the season ends on Epiphany or the Feast of the Three Kings which is held by the first Sunday after January 1 (traditionally always on January 6 before 1970).
Construction cost underground vs skytrain is 3:1 for example 1km underground will cost you $3000 but 1km skytrain will cost just $1000.
Please try to visit Baguio City when you come back to the Philippines. The temperature there is cold
Cone to my country Indonesia, sir. There are many massa transportation. There are mrt, lrt, bus, etc. They're all clean and cheap.

Wow, had no idea how much advancements and modernization Philippine INFRASTRUCTURE has evolved! Should Philippines be UPGRADED from 3rd WORLD to DEVELOPED COUNTRY? Seems appropriate, isn't it?
Not yet.. not enough
Not yet developed but a Newly Industrialized Country together with Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand to mention some.
We are a mid tier developing country already.
Good Day Sir/Maam pls visit My Place Oroquieta City Province of Misamis Occidental, The Grand Concept Parade Inug-og Festival in City on October 13-14-15-16 and The Pasungko Festival in Province the Month of November and

Ha? Te matagal na Yan.. wala Ka ata sa pinas or manila,?
robinson magnolia is originally an ice cream parlor
Is that the bentygobelmonte station?
I never got why they get so mad when you record / picture on the MRT or LRT in Manila. I tool a DSLR and got surrounded by 5 security guards as if I was a criminal!
The old lrt 1 was bombed by Spanish muslim extremist in 90's before that's why they don't allow anyone to take photos anymore.
The bombing to several targets, including the LRT-1 Blumentritt station, was perpetrated by Jemaah Islamiyah, a Southern Filipino radical islamic front, settled mostly in the city of Marawi. Nothing to do with Spain.
That's Manila so modern city.
part of LRT-2 goes underground. 1 station is completely underground
Have you been to Jakarta, Indonesia?
