Tell Me About a Time You Used Data to make a Decision - I share an effective example answer to this difficult interview question in this video. This is a situational interview question as well as a competency-based interview question.
The best way to answer this is to use the STAR interview method to structure your answer. The STAR method is an acronym for Situation Task Action Result. If you use this method when answering this question,
it's much easier to ensure your answer will include a strong example where you describe the situation (what happened), the task (what needed to be done), the action (what you did / the steps you took), and the result (what happened, what was the outcome, either on yourself, team, colleagues, customers or clients in the business). This is also a great method if you struggle with tough interview questions and answers or situational interview questions and answers.
