He genuinely played out of his mind on this one. Constructed the build bit by bit with sound logic while having to tune out all the insanely bad directions chat was giving him. He was even able to intuit that the snail should receive the cove buff instead of the lighter. It’s so sick to see him develop these instincts. What a groovy build

It's actually made me stop playing the game, feels awful having a build that's unique and works incredibly well but still gets stomped by Dooley running the same bog-standard build that takes a quarter of the time and items to get online
It sucks that missing the freeze item at the end there may have been enough to win the round. I didnt do the math on it, but an extra 1 multicast on weather glass would have been quite significant. Really cool build

The Vanessa at 6:33 feels like an AI encounter lol. It's got all the characteristics - pelts on both ends, 3 randomish items in the middle, NL barely squeaking through.

It goes deeper than that. This MFer faced 4 meme builds in a row: people bming with their board/having more space than they need. After said Vanessa, he faced Pyg with a cash register out, Vanessa with bronze piranha tribal and then Pyg with empty space & choco bar out. The streamer server is real.
i mean, from talking with the community of the bazaar, some people do it at least as a means of having a little fun when they've got a shitty build, I've done it before

Sell cove
I think most of the "sell cove" comments near the end were just people trolling
Watching him tell everyone to “beg for their lives” was pretty funny though
Taking 50hp of chocolate over 125hp really was a defining true-to-brand moment

Well yea it buffs cove 5 but also coves upgrade state shield double-triple-quadruple this items value so it could go up to another 20 armor on a 3 second cooldown which over the course of a game is much more valuable than an extra 75 health

The point was that the skill makes it slow. The whole build was about the skills, not what's on the board, and people just kept not understanding that.
So at 1:00:16 he gets 600 max hp for the fight for a nice 6666 HP, but disconnects before the game.
When he reconnects he's back but without the 600 max hp. Bro got scammed!! Not that it would have mattered probably vs that dooley but I had to report it.
I've seen similar things happen in my games, disconnecting can bug out certain shops and lose you buffs. I've even seen my items lose stats for no reason. One time I visited an enchanted items shop, was about to buy a game winning item, and then I DCed. When I reconnected all of the items in her shop were no longer enchanted, they got fucking mass-dispelled lmao.
@@Nighthawk20000 same thing happened to NL in a recent run - DCed on a enchanted items shop and when he bought a Captain's Wheel that previously had the "Can't be Frozen, Slowed or Destroyed" effect it was just plain instead
I had a bug where my items were getting randomly frozen for 1 second repeatedly when no one had any freeze effects on board. Once again a weapon Vanessa and then against Lord Arken which cost me both fights. Restarting seemed to fix it.

NL was offered the chocolate eating contest 10 times this run
He took it 5 times (50%)
4 times he took Bronze-tier chocolate, 1 time he purchased Gold-tier
Instead of Eating Contest he mostly chose to go to shops, including the shops where he bought Chemsnail and Weatherglass
He purchased or acquired 2 Bronze chocolate throughout the rest of the run.
In total, he ate 22 Bronze and 5 Gold chocolates, spending 14 gold on chocolate throughout the run
Eating chocolate gave him 370 flat health. After percentage health changes, chocolates gave 389.97 max health (6% of final health)

while chocolate is awesome, him buying chocolate instead of gaining the max health was cringe. thanks for the update though ChocoStats

such a lame ending to such a cool run. all my homies hate monitor lizard
it's not just the monitor lizard, it's also the fact that dooley can freeze 5 times a fight from one small item. usually you need multiple rare skills and items for such power, but every 3rd dooley player has a build like that.

It's crazy he basically had 3 weatherglasses
it's a bit unfortunate that he didn't immediately just all in on weatherglass or all in on just the snail. With enough slow procs and righty tighty AND sick burn, snail can go infinite, stacking activations at the min programmed cooldown. Same for weatherglass, if you have sick burn at 2 seconds, you can basically get away with just taking out a burn item and then letting it just infinitely pop itself with that combo. unfortunately he just didn't have the experience to see that possibility

Whoever said void golem is better than snail was not watching the build. Burn is the wincon, slow is the engine the snail is like damn near the core piece of the build
void golem was probably better that the jitte and cog near the end. the jitte only ever had time to fire once and wasn't that buffed when it went off. the Sick Burn skill made it so his important item's didn't need haste.

I think a lot of it was early venessa was basically pure damage and some haste, so even the bad players had an idea of how to help the build, now he has more moving parts and people still wanna type but really shouldn't.

The real culprit is NL's fascination with buy/sell when he could have just stuck with the Void Shield and had better shield econ lol

It's killing me that he never upgraded the bloody cove. It was staying around and he obviously wasn't going to get rid of it but instead of upgrading it to double and triple it's shield actually making it worth something and buying and selling for it. He used the upgrades for small shit like 1 extra haste per second which is fairly useless when it's split between two items or 1 extra burn and poison

At 41:21, I think you actually want to replace the burn with crit on the snail, so that you have more charges from the "whenever you poison, charge a burn item" on fewer targets (just lighter). (The result would be that the lighter close-to perma-procs, and the snail does too, I think).
Like, every time the snail procs,
it charges the lighter 1 second (at the time, 2 seconds eventually),
which causes the lighter to go off,
which charges:
Lighter 1 second
Snail 3 seconds
Lighter goes off again, in less than 1 second, which causes:
Lighter Charge 1 second,
Snail 3 seconds, Snail procs, and repeat the cycle.
God the creators of this game cooked with this, but holy are they idiots for creating such an unbalanced character in Dooly

that dooley had a heavy snail which slows 2 targets when it goes off which makes it infinite so it was basically god build dooley

Honestly, I think he should have put the deadly on Snail. It would make the charge on poison skill only activate the Lighter, which in turn would slow more because of Righty Tighty, which in turn would charge Snail more often. There's the main loop while doing more poison damage.

I think once you get the sunglasses, you should drop both the snail and the lighter. If the weatherglass gets all the (upgraded, at least) sick burn procs it will have zero cooldown.

Freeze ray change - when core or other ray is used gain 1 second haste/1 second of charge. BOOM, item fixed.
Monitor lizard - give limit to speed of use/ make it so when this item is frozen it CANT be used, its lowkey insane you can freeze monitor lizard but it still keeps going, freeze does nothing to it, (other proc items DO stop working, so idk why monitor doesn't)

It's insane puffer fish got removed in mere days and yet monitor lizard has been the most insane item for 33 days + and unchanged, no nerfs etc.
The fact this unique and fun build lost to the same Dooley build makes me really worried for the state of the game. The game is getting so much attention yet the devs decide to leave it broken and untouched for a month. If it doesn't get fixed soon the playerbase will decline. Guess they sold enough founders packs to not care either way.
I said they really needed a patch soon and was told devs deserve a break... its been over a month, and then I got banned xD
