Amazing as always. Dude the slow mo shot when the bulk explodes in the background was pure cinema. Great visuals and tunes to bring the feels. Loved it.
Thanks JCB! It was funny filming that by myself (usually Mus and I film that type of stuff together). I had to go into the sandbox utilities room so the terrain wouldn't get destroyed, destroy all the lights, make my extra dwarf 1/5 size, kill the bulk with my main computer and immediately time dilate down to 10% speed and then open the free cam to get into position. Worth it though, turned out pretty cool!
Gotta love the quality for the between gameplay shots the quality really ramped up. I'm also glad you guys revisited this idea, I was wondering what the actual damage number would be with critical weakness but couldn't come up with an accurate estimate. You guys rock, Rock and Stone!
how does gunners re-atomizer interact with CT? I presume if it even works it just copies 1 stack, but it might be the answer to the "cant get enough stacks" problem with splash if it does copy stack count. Or you could investigate other debuffs being dragged along with it (I've never even used the OC, just it comes to mind) on a mostly unrelated note, what's the maximum number of debuffs a 4 dwarf team can apply to a single target? could be a fun idea
Ever since your first video on the topic, I’ve never had more fun with Scout as a class than I have using CD w/Fire Bolts + IFGs. The amount of amusement in the caves brought forth by it has been and is incredible. R&S m8 ⛏️
and today, we see a brave dwarf understand the mere vineer of why people love killing the grineer. _seriously, this is just how warframe's lategame dps output works on a conceptual level; you want multiplicitive damage increases through elements, status procs, crit, faction damage, and abilities all at once. throwing on serration and gundition overload is funny, but really REALLY suckface - don't do it._ good vid as always.
I wonder how much damage something like burning nightmare plasma charger could do. I know there's no shot it beats this (the 4x volatile + 3x weakpoint is just too much), but to my knowledge burning nightmare EPC is the strongest instance of fire damage there is that also gets the frozen target multiplier. So you could get the 3x freeze multiplier instead of the 3x weakpoint multiplier, and be freed to use plasma splash to double your CT stacks.
But Ifg's last 15 seconds, so there's no need to interrupt your fire to add it if you threw it while applying the fire bolts, given that you only need ten seconds for the stacks.
brother your composition and camera work and choreography are getting too good for you to just be a DRG youtuber. i worry that the growth of your channel is limited by the size of the DRG audience. maybe you could make something with the DRG stuff you've already learned, but something that has appeal even to someone who doesn't play the game? like the ol' red vs blue halo stuff? 🤔 some kind of storytelling or skits or more music video stuff? i think you have the skills to have a bigger more profitable channel if you can find some way to branch out. cheers 🍻
ok, heres the more complicated question: whats the most useful damage you can do? obviously much of that 140k was overkill and big number for the sake of big number, which is cool and interesting for certain, but doing 140k to something with only 1500 hp remaining is not useful to know in a mission. is there a build or combo i can run solo to kill that bulk in say, two or three shots? what about as a duo? etc. whats the best practical use dmg set up to quickly kill something big? maybe i didnt express my thought the best, hope you catch my meaning.
Using gunners 4th grenade right underneath usually melts the bulk in 2 to 3 uses. Might not be what you're looking for, but, it's come in handy in a pinch.
If you want to take advantage of conductive thermals damage as scout, your best options are either taser bolts from the boltshark or phosphorus shells on the boomstick. Boomstick is able to chunk down tanky enemies with ease after applying CT, and it's my prefered option thanks to how fast it is (I tend to run it with shaped shells for picking off high value targets at a distance). For things like bulk detonators though, your best bet would be to run taser bolts instead as those do absurd damage over time. The downside to that is the longer set up time and being less effective or efficient against anything smaller than a praetorian.
Are you not simply asking for meta builds? They optimize for damage within the boundaries of what is useful. Volatile bullets gunner is among them, but outside of elimination missions the conductive thermals scout amplifying the damage of volatile bullets is overkill, because just shooting a burning bulk detonator on your own will nearly kill it in four shots. Even then I would hesitate to recommend bringing volatile bullets into games with random players, because the overwhelming majority of drillers I run into use the cryo cannon and don't think twice about putting out fires on targets you're about to shoot. If you can find people who cooperate with you though, and you're doing an elim, you can have stupid fun like killing a dreadnought in one clean shot after the armour is stripped, completely breaking through all three of the health gates.
the cave angel sequence was so extra

That's a big number, probably too big for me to count on my toes
Then you need another deep dive into the exclusion zone

What about the scenario with a lobby of 16 dwarfes? :O would this work in the sandbox testing environment?
why didn't you used the minigun heat instead of fire bolt?
