I just now realized that I will probably never go to a live concert.
I haven’t been able to get to a concert for five years: first because of work, then because of covid, and in 2022 because my country started a war under an absurd pretext. Now I can't be sure that my "elected" government won't put me in jail. There are no legal ways to protest, and the rest are extremely risky in a quiet, depressed city like mine.
People around are going crazy because the TV has brainwashed them. I barely recognize my colleagues and relatives.
I'm scared that everyone around is acting like nothing's happening. And the only thing I can do is yell at people who refuse to face reality. I have never experienced such despair and helplessness before.
It hurts to listen to this song now. But I'm not sure I could have made it through these two months without your music.

You should be careful with what you write online. But i do feel for you. It must suck sooo bad to realize what your "leader" has done. And the consequences the Russian people must live with for decades.
Let`s hope you can soon travel and be free again.
Many i have talked with feel the same as me. It is not the will of the Russian people. This horror Europe are experiencing now is Putins fault. Him and his henchmen in Kreml. Not the Russian people.
But they are unfortunately brainwashed with propaganda.
Lets hope this will end soon.
      Stay strong, be safe.

that wooden sound in the beggining!
is what made me go straight on the story, setting my mind to take the adventure in this song, going into other place - theirs.
it also brought me back to one of my favorite tv show's moments - on Viking series (season 1 episode 4), where this song was, the first raid with Ragnar and Lagertha. I loved this episode and this moment so much.
now I hear again, with this great audio and very epic visuals, making a different, yet another great experience.

There is a certain purifying spirit that comes with the music alone that is instinctively familiar with the soul.

In Yoga, the coiled serpent represents the rising of the Kundalini energy from the bottom to the top of the head to awaken spiritual possibilities within the human being. Old Pagan cultures knew about this fact as well, especially the shamans, it is just that we almost forgot about this nowadays but Wardruna reawakens it again.

Great performance! I wish we could have heard the ending from the Fehu piece on Runaljod Yggdrasil. One of my personal favorite parts in all of Wardruna songs.

They really do know how to put on a serious performance! It really looks as if they're all going through all 'the (e)motions' for summoning the forefathers and the Old Norse Gods...mesmerizing! It feels, looks and sounds as if you're stepping back a millennia or so in time. Awesome - I would really like to see them live!

The drum beats and everything in this song sound so wrong yet so right. It's hard to describe what these guys do but you accept it without challenging it. It's disastrously beautiful yet chaoticly calm. It's unpleasantly pleasant and joyfully sad. Rhymitically eloquent while remaining static and choppy. 🙈
