First off, huge congrats my friend on 1000, well done and deserved. Like you, when I travel in another country I try to hit different record stores but I want bands that are from that country. I want something that I could not find in the states. Those albums you found in Portugal were very intriguing especially the first two There is a ton of great psych rock coming out now.
Thank you, Steve. I appreciate all the support you've given me. I only bought the first album in Portugal. The rest were mine, just linked with a number in the title. Amazing how many psych-rock albums have a number in the title! I'm still catching up with leaving comments, but I know how busy you are with the pool business so massive thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Cheers, Steve
Alright Mate , I have been to Lisbon and got to see Benfica V Sporting Lisbon at the Legandary Stadium Of Light , Football is my religion !!!!. I am really a Rocker at heart so Sabbath Vo4 and 2112 hit the mark. Many congrats on 1000 subscribers, you cover a lot of albums , some I would not entertain but each to their own. What I really like is how it is presented and your humility. Stay well and keep going mate.
Thanks, Alfie. I bought my grandson a Benfica cap. My daughter didn't like the Sporting colours!!! Thanks for being with me on this journey. I appreciate your support. Cheers, mate
You are one of those whom I follow the most. Yes, that Damien Rice album is great, and so is the Blur one. Keep the videos coming, and congrats on the milestone achieved.
Congratulations on hitting that milestone Andy. Very well deserved. Thanks for showing Black Mountain, great British Columbia band. And Rush, Canadian giants that I use to see in the bars when they were a covers band. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Jack. I'm quite late to Rush. Back in the day I found Geddy's falsetto vocals a bit too much, but I've grown to like them as I've got older. Thanks for your support. I do appreciate it. Cheers mate
Congratulations Andy, it’s well deserved. Concur with you on the food in Portugal its top notch. I took a punt on the Earthless album just for the cover art and I really like it. Anyway, thanks for showing albums that are in your collection it has certainly got me to purchase more than I anticipated 🤣🤣🤣 Here’s to your next 1000…👍👏
Thanks, Colin. The vinyl version of O arrived yesterday and it really is a step up on the CD. I'm overdue a round-up of reissues I've bought in last 2-3 months so I'll do that after the monthly new releases vid. Thanks for watching, and sharing the journey with me. Cheers mate
Firstly, congratulations on reaching 1k, excellent. Secondly, leave those Octopus alone 😅. I have the Earthless, Rush, Black Sabbath, Blur and Elbow. Others I would add from my collection: Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree J. J. Cake - 5 Hawklords - 6 and also 25 Years On Black Sabbath - 13 Moby - 18 Enigma - MCMXC a. D Kasabian - 48:13 Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II Level 42 - Level 42 Lone Star - Firing on All Six John Martyn - One World Pearl Jam - Ten Santana - Santana III Sky - Sky 2, Sky 3, Sky 4, Forthcoming, Sky 5 Live Ok, I'll stop now. Could you include Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast 🤔
Octopus? I've never been able to get into Gentle Giant tbh :-) I forgot about Sab 13 and Zep's albums. I have Moby 13 and 7th Tree too on CD. It was a quick off the top of my head mix so I was bound to miss a few - just like I invariably do on your Thursday night gigs! Thanks for watching, Marc. Cheers mate
Thanks, Graham. And thanks for being with me the whole journey so far. Oh yes, I can imagine Berlin would be a really epic place for record shops. Cheers mate.
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers, you definitely deserve it. You make some great recommendations and you have certainly inspired me to purchase more than a few albums that I wouldn’t necessarily come across. Here’s to the next 1000. Very well done
Hi Andy - Congrats on 1000! Being Canadian, I have that Black Mountain record ... and Rush, but that goes without saying! I keep seeing Damien Rice, but I haven't investigated him.
Thanks, Brian. I'm quite late to Rush. Back in the day I found Geddy's falsetto vocals a bit too much, but I've grown to like them as I've got older. Thanks for your support. I do appreciate it. Cheers mate
Congratulations on 1000 Cheekily I suggest the band Chicago for Albums with titles. Nut on serious note and since you were reviewing psych Spirit : Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus
Thanks Jesse. I was surprise just how weighted toward psych my albums with numbers are. I've heard of that Spirit album, but don't know it tbh. I'll have to look it up. Thanks for the congrats and for watching. Cheers
Damian Rice O as in the letter not number, so doesn't count. As it's your video I'll let you off. 😁 Congrats on 1K. Oh and the food looked good. I have had octopus but it didn't look like an actual octopus so I wasn't put off trying it.
You are probably right about O or 0. I always assumed it was intended as a zero and the next album is 9, which I could have used except it's not as good. Thanks for the congrats and for watching. Cheers
@@andysalbums I could be wrong but I thought the title was something to do with the erotic novel "The Story Of O". I don't know whether he actually said that or it was just people speculating though.
@@iamwoteveriwanttobe There doesn't seem to be anything definitive on this. Some people think it's representative of a circle. It's a mystery! Anyhow, it doesn't matter; it's a cracking record, whatever it's called! 😀
Congratulations Andy! So well-deserved. Here's to the next 1000... cheers my friend!
Thanks, Alex. You aren't far behind me and catching up fast! So good luck to you, too. Thanks for supporting me, Alex. Cheers mate
