I save the oil can so i fill it up with new oil so it is ready for the next oil chnage then you know the whole bottle exactly the right amount of oil to put into the engine 👍👍 And "never" fill on fuel when the generator running!!! Let it cool down a few minutes then fill it up. The oil who came with is a "break in oil" and must be change to a normale oil aft 5 hours of use.
I just bought one for home emergencies/prepping. What a difference in sound once the cover was put back on. It was $200 off on sale, had overwhelming positive reviews. I ordered online and looks like I made the right choice. Thanks buddy.
my 2000 watt Champion won't start my AC on my pop up camper. I even added a soft start to the AC with no luck. I'm going to upgrade to the dual fuel 4000 watt Champion and hope for better.
The real answer is maybe. In this case, the generator was able to start the AC compressor with the ECO toggle in the off position allowing for higher RPMs. The required power for a AC unit is higher starting than running. All will be good switching the generator to ECO after the system is running until the AC reaches its thermostat setpoint and cycles off then on again. The generator will stall being unable to restart the compressor at the lower ECO RPM. Soft start systems help but add to the cost and complexities. I run neither on our sailboat or Roadtrek camper van.
Run ac off inverter, then use generator to charge battery bank. You could probably leave generator on economy mode. Inverter will handle startup surge.
I hadly use the generator as i have a Ecoflow Delta 2 (1800 W) who i use mostly and it can power almost anything, then i can charge it with the generator if needed or with solar panels! 😀
I would use recreational gas (no ethanol) and added fuel stabilizer since gas will likely be sitting in the unit for longer periods of time. You could skip the whole ethanol varnishing, water in the gas, gas game by just running propane. But watts drop with propane, so may want to size up the generator for enough ooomph to power what you need
Adding a soft start kit to your AC will really help starting your AC with a small generator
I am going to check into that. Thanks!
Just received the soft start from mail order. Hoping to install and test soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Did u install it? Did it help? Does it work?@@sailingandcampingtravel4746

how big is the A/C? BTU?
Starting your ac on lo fan for a minute and rapidly switching to lo cool will help. I had an old class A that it worked well on.
Great vid💎
Great video Mr..,you helped me a lot
Best place to buy
Using a capacitor on the AC would be a good ideal.

How many BTU is your camper AC? Thanks
what's the btu or wattage of that AC unit?

what kinda gas do we put in? i dont understand is regular gas okay?

well to start thats not a generator its an inverter so wrong off the bat block
