I like this one a lot! I think the 4 inches is good where it is. And I bet if you used primary colors that would be really cool with like a little black on top of the ice to give it a lil twist.

Awesome dye idea. I love the colors. Though I think I'll try this with cooler colors and a navy shirt. I'll just bleach the middle-ish area that I scrunch.
I got 1lb of stormy sky to play with but also getting a few others next month and this is 1 im gonna shoot for but may do a different twist to it. Have learned a lot from you and other awesome artists and really people and for that i thank you for taking the time to teach us 🙏🙏💙💙

I want to do more gravity dyes myself, but my setup won't let me do much more than one or two at a time. The real estate is just so much more than 'regular' tie dyeing.

I'm a beginner, I need to try it
I love this! deep purple is my favourite colour to use. followed by emerald green. I also have a hard time choosing which colour to theme my dyes based on those 2 choices alone.

Let me tell you how many times I’ve tried that shirt fold. Seemingly I’m not the only one that has a problem with it. I get it marked I get it folded I get the sleeve inside the other sleeve but when I try to do the final fold to get it laying flat - BOY something goes seriously wrong. I have only done one shirt so far I don’t think I understand what I’m trying to do completely but I get a double fold I don’t get a shirt fold it in half what am I trying to say I get the front of the shirt fold it in half so I have like two fronts one on the left and one on the right I have two folds on the front of the shirt I can’t get it with just one fold running down the middle of the shirt

Does the temp of the rinse out water matter ?
Typically you start off with cold water for the soda ash, then raise it to hot for the dye

I don't understand the purpose of turning the shirt inside out.
It reduces/prevents most "spotting" from the dyes from showing on the outside of the shirt.
@@CasualCollisions Thank you. I also noticed that some people prefer to place the dye on top of the ice. I wonder if that has any affect.
