is there anyone with a background of being a Nissan mechanic being able to speak on there 2020 CVT? I know they changed it from the 2019 version and I am really interested in the reliability of that engine.
My mom has a 2017 Frontier single cab for her mail route My dad has owned both a Titan and Frontier Nismo Loved them both a lot of get up and go My sis has a 2017 Altima SR 70k miles no problem I have a 2019 Altima SR love it best decision I ever made I use to own a 2017 Sentra S I hated it but I’m a loyal Nissan buyer I don’t see why Nissan gets so much hate
Looks good and yes, I would not be embarrass driving this baby either. The LKA etc... probably be included in 2012 to refresh this. Good looking car and with 149HP, it's better then previous motor.
Just an educational point. “McPherson” struts were developed by an engineer with the last name “McPherson”. It’s a design with a coil and strut with a load bearing between the strut and the chassis allowing for the ability to steer. It’s been around for decades and depending on how it’s valved and what spring rate is installed, determines its handling over various bumps and loads in corners as well as just driving down the road. This design was to create a compact suspension with low cost. Nice review. :-)
All reviews I watched so far want a turbo to Nismo version. This car is so nice I see one over the horizon for next year though i wish they offered one now. SR with premium package it will be!
If Nissan can add 2.2 or 2.5L engine and DCT then this will be a more competetive car. I dont like turbo, its good but it will wear quickly compared to other car.. i hope it will be available soon globally..
If they decide to put the VC turbo(maybe detuned or tunes differently) in this, with a midnight package, maybe AWD though an LSD in the front would be better, thisnwould be top in class period.
Looks good, but where's the SR Turbo ??? Also, in response to the reviewer stating he doesn't think anyone will ever touch the sport button . That would be the 2nd button I would push right after the start button.
@@carbuzzcom Yes, unfortunately for the average Sentra buyer thats probably true. Just seems like pretty basic stuff to me. Again, this looks good. Certainly an improvement from the last gen.
Not really after the 1st or 2nd shift it sounds a little odd. I was watching this 1 video. If you just drive normal in. The sentra like say half throttle you can definitely see the sharpness in the trans compared to before.
No native nav, not even as an option is a mistake! Yeah, AA and ACP are great as long as u have cell connectivity but many do not and , as I just took a xcty trip, many locations have insufficient cell coverage.
You can make the outside look like an angel, but inside are cheap garbage than there's no point to buy it. I have a 2014 Nissan Altima and only 50K miles, I have to replace the CVT transmission and the AC compressor system already. No thanks...
2013-2016 Nissan products from what I know have the most CVT issues. The newer ones have been improved. You just happened to get an Altima that looks good but with a transmission with issues
0:18 "My gosh.... This is such an improvement over the last generation Sentra." Funny, I don't see the turbo engine or six speed manual in that thing. CVT only and down around 40 horsepower compared to the Nismo/SR Turbo..... Hard Pass.
Nicer styling, independent rear suspension, and lots of features so great value for money...except it still has a CVT and likely same reputation Nissan has for unreliability. Fail...
Perhaps, you forgot these segment are meant for gas saver, yet give you a little looks with it. You want power, yeah, pay more and you can always got else where. Just saying, for now it a nice looking eco commute vehicle with style.
I'm in love with the new Sentra. Inside and outside, it's a winner!
I think its Hors concours. Inside and out the most beautiful in the segment or maybe in the whole sedan category.
Awesome car. My lease ran out just in time to upgrade. I have nothing to complain about this car driving since end of Feb.💪🤩🥰
i used to have one way back 1989 the nissan sentra diesel, the new design is so stunning, can't wait to have one again

Buying one this week👍❤️🇺🇸
Don't forget to add mine. 😁Much love
My mom has a 2017 Frontier single cab for her mail route
My dad has owned both a Titan and Frontier Nismo
Loved them both a lot of get up and go
My sis has a 2017 Altima SR 70k miles no problem
I have a 2019 Altima SR love it best decision I ever made
I use to own a 2017 Sentra S I hated it but I’m a loyal Nissan buyer
I don’t see why Nissan gets so much hate
Everyone knows someone who knows someone who had an issue. Plenty of other brands have the same stigma.
Frontier for a mail route? How was the gas??
I have had a few Nissan vehicles over the past 10+ years, no issues at all. People just love to complain.
It's simply sabotage trust me
You buy a car you expected to reach 100K miles without any big issues. Toyota and Honda are the only two auto makers can trust and reliable.
I love this car!
As an ex-SER Spec V owner, I approve

Nice review. :-)
Finally an in depth review of the 2020 Nissan Sentra that's not from a dealership in Canada XD
more power means more $$$$ - Keep it sexy and simple Nissan Great Job!
All reviews I watched so far want a turbo to Nismo version. This car is so nice I see one over the horizon for next year though i wish they offered one now. SR with premium package it will be!
Its very nice. The color is nice too.
Good review & perfect Sentra.
It makes ZERO sense not to have that beautiful tan leather interior available on the highest trim level!!!
ewwww not everyone wants tan leather I am so glad I have the option for the black
Can't get it on the SR which I think looks the best.

are they zero gravity in the back where you were sitting when you said zero gravity seats?
Wishing for 2.3L engine: about the same HP with more Torque but at much lower RPM!
If they decide to put the VC turbo(maybe detuned or tunes differently) in this, with a midnight package, maybe AWD though an LSD in the front would be better, thisnwould be top in class period.
The 1.6 was 188 hp that was a turbo. The bae was 1.8
like SENTRA
Looks good, but where's the SR Turbo ??? Also, in response to the reviewer stating he doesn't think anyone will ever touch the sport button . That would be the 2nd button I would push right after the start button.
The average Sentra buyer probably won't even find the button.
@@carbuzzcom Yes, unfortunately for the average Sentra buyer thats probably true. Just seems like pretty basic stuff to me. Again, this looks good. Certainly an improvement from the last gen.
The New Forte IVT sounds more like a traditional automatic than this Sentra
New Forte also has a fantastic CVT. We love that one as well. These aren't the same old units people like to complain about.
@@carbuzzcom very true!

Loved this review thank you!
Two things though. We need to see your eyes so take off the sunnies. And untuck the Tee 😉
👍
great design but i dont like the steering wheel and the back seat has no ac/usb
It does have one usb
No native nav, not even as an option is a mistake! Yeah, AA and ACP are great as long as u have cell connectivity but many do not and , as I just took a xcty trip, many locations have insufficient cell coverage.
The only problem here is trying to tell the stubborn haters power is overrated.

1990s SER last time Sentra was worth anything
0:18 "My gosh.... This is such an improvement over the last generation Sentra." Funny, I don't see the turbo engine or six speed manual in that thing. CVT only and down around 40 horsepower compared to the Nismo/SR Turbo..... Hard Pass.
Faster version is (likely) coming. This is a huge improvement over the standard Sentra.
@@carbuzzcom I don't get why everyone always complains about HP in budget cars that are not meant to be sports cars.
Nicer styling, independent rear suspension, and lots of features so great value for money...except it still has a CVT and likely same reputation Nissan has for unreliability. Fail...
Looks awesome and it’s cheap
The cheap car that won't last 100K miles that you'll have to break your bank already.
Ehh horsepower wise sucks
It's pretty on par with competitors.
Am sure a more powerful Sentra model is coming. Most people don't care for our want to spend the extra cost, but should be an option for them...
Perhaps, you forgot these segment are meant for gas saver, yet give you a little looks with it. You want power, yeah, pay more and you can always got else where. Just saying, for now it a nice looking eco commute vehicle with style.
The performance model shouldn't disappoint, this is only a commuter car.
