He showed the actual specs...not every game is better on the PS3. The past three TR games have done notcieably better on the Xbox 360, that's just plain fact whether you hate the other console or not. Calling this guy a fanboy for providing proof and comparing them side by side really just shows who's the "fanboy" here.
Very justified test. Framerates and thus gameplay feels like total ASS on the PS3. It's absolutely horrific. Sad to see this happen, since Tomb Raider had its origins on the Playstation after all.
@@ludo974amv9 i didn't know that. That's quite the stark difference. Regardless, when I see the side by side I don't notice a big difference. And after playing it on ps3, I can confidently say that I prefer fluent gameplay over the extra pixels. The underlying engine must've been beyond atrocious if it performed that poorly!
ahh yes thank you youtube, thanks for recommending performance metrics to a game i played when i was 15, a bit late but ok good to know tho digital foundry already did the work of tech-jesus more than a decade ago, preaching how important framerate is.
possibly the only game that runs at higher resolution on ps3. why? no clue. it also technically has more advanced quincunx anti aliasing compared to xbox.
@@mmr2241 less blurry than todays TAA actually. quincunx is fine and quite effective actually. if the devs wanted they could have used MSAA on ps3 too and maybe they would have even gained 2 fps or something!
They should have dropped the resolution on PS3 to match 360, might have had a more stable frame-rate. Shadows on PS3 are also better, but that's true for most games. It's a slow paced game with lots of vistas, so I'll take the crisper image of the PS3 version

Well I already have the ps3 version. Sucks for me I guess. Should've bought them for pc but I thought Legend and Anniversary didn't support a 360 gamepad.
the 360: 576p with blur filter and with motion blur to mask the bad framerate the PS3:720p with 2x AA and no motion blur Motion blur is used by the devs to mask the frame skip in a video game.
when i was a kid i remember playing this on my old pc 800x600 resolution. now my mid gaming pc can run this at 4k resolution. times passes very fast.
What a change, Anyway, Do you have idea if this game can be run in 4K resolution?
@@fozzes bruh he literally said he can run it in 4K

15 years later, I'd love a video on the whole L.A.U. trilogy.

But thé game the resolution on PS3 IS higher.PS3 version runs in 1280x720, Xbox360 in 1024x600

9800GT combined with any decent dual core CPU should wipe the floor with PS3 and 360.
Yeah but pc doesn’t compete with consoles you know.
now this looks and feels like tomb raider
Windows, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3
@SafasoTV
Who told you that?
As far as i know quincunx is a 4x AA wih a blur filter.
The 360 version is smoother due to the lower resolution, if it was 720p the game shouldn't run at an acceptable framerate i think.
Looked better on 360 too

Xbox 360 uses msaa which is better than ps3's qaa. QAA makes the image very blurry.

Why aren't they identical?
PS3 runs it at a higher resolution, while the X360 uses antialliasing to hide the lower resolution.
