I love VGT. I see nothing wrong with the concept. It’s exciting seeing what manufacturers can do without a budget and other constraints. The Porsche VGT is worse lol
There were some silver linings in this list: 1. I remember when the L500R was despised for being an OP car in GT Sport. This was because the car was categorized in the N Class and had a much better battery that was on par with the Nissan Concept 2020 from GT6, meaning that it could keep the extra power a lot longer. It got nerfed big time in GT7. 2. The Porsche VGT Spyder was able to equip Dirt Tires when it was introduced, which wasn't possible for the Coupe version. At some point, an update made it impossible for the Porsche VGT Spyder to use dirt tires, but if you did so beforehand, you can still race against it in Custom Races on Dirt Tracks, but not Snow Tracks as Snow Tires didn't exist back then.
The ‘race car’ issue is a major problem with a lot of legend cars as well. It’s mind boggling that they put out these cars as end game targets and you can’t use them because actual end game is between grinding road cars and various modern groups. They need to either create more categories for racers (ie vintage and K) or just get rid of the distinction considering how race-car like you can get most road cars. Something went really wrong when they worked through the gameplay experience with GT7.
I used to use the chapperel VGT. In every VGT race. I loved it. 1.40 ruined it. 850.03pp is as low as it can go with Racing tires. I don’t know why they did that. Crazy how much effort goes into cars that can’t be used in game. Let’s say 3 months per car & there are 10 cars with no where to use them. I don’t know a lot of wasted time
The Vision Gran Turismo car that I hate the most is the Porsche VGT Spyder. As Niki Lauda would say, “It’s a s**tbox!” It understeers like crazy, and the braking power is a tragic disaster. And I'm glad that it's at #1 on your list.
Maybe if the ev's were rear drive only they would corner better. It seems to me that the front wheel motors just want to make them plough straight on rather than make the corner.
If they were adjustable, and could be tuned it wouldn't be so bad, but most of them are useless because they can't be altered in almost any way, and for such expensive cars, it's just not good enough. PD can do much better, but seem to not care at all about them.
I’m very definitely a Suzuki fan boy. Been riding their bikes for years and they have some amazing cars to. But I’d have put the Suzuki VGT road car in this line up of 5 worst, it suffers the same problem as the Copon it’s totally out classed.
Has anyone else noticed that the Aston Martin VGT has a glitch where any event you enter with it suddenly becomes SO WINDY that it blows the car around, making it impossible to use? Otherwise a nice car, but what's up with the wind?
All VGTs either look like a current mainstream car with bodykit attached, or they look like a flat beach bed with a big towel draped. Quite a lazy marketing exercise 😕
I do believe that there has been a mix up. The Peugeot Onyx didn't exist in the 1990's. That was the Peugeot Oxia. The Onyx was produced from 2012, whereas the Oxia made its debut in 1988 at the Paris Motor Show.
I like VGT’s that are actually cool and inspirational. I want something with square wheels, or a car that can retract its wheels and glide above 175mph…. A sleek design, 1000hp, AWD hybrid is boring after the 20th one.
The chapperel used to be my FAVORITE!! 850pp on RH. Every since 1.40 you can’t get it under 850pp unless you put Sport or comfort tires on. So now it’s Totally useless!
Vision Gran Turismo cars are exotic cars and I love 'em. My favorite one is the Bugatti VGT and the Lexus LF LC VGT. I really hate all the three Jaguar VGT cars, the daihatsu copen rj vgt and the Suzuki Vgt ( not gr.3).
I totally forgot about the COPEN VGT. I know I said I wanna buy every car but I can't justify spending $1 million on that car. I am not buying the SF'S OR REDBULLS.I am not good with them yet. but I think if I change my camera angle, it will help me out. so I can see further down the road in 3rd person. the Porsche VGT IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE SPYDER VGT. I feel the LAMBO & FERRARI are the 2 best VGT'S. then the TOYOTA FT1 VGT, LEXUS, /BMW are tied basically tied.
I actually think the coupé version is worse than the spider for one sole reason - it's half the face (or well cover art) for GT7 and is a terrible representation compared to past cover cars in the series And at least the spider actually has a closer resemblance to the classic 550s Spyder of old, the coupe doesn't feel like it relates to Porsche's past in ANY WAY.
Whining about the past instead of measuring the vision GTs now is really not it. I just started a few months ago, and so much cultists anger at the years ago past is really toxic AF.
The WORST VGT is ANY without an interior. For 1 million credits, EVERY VGT should have and interior -- no excuses. The most disappointing to me (a VW fan) was the VGT GTi hatch. I was looking so forward to earning enough in the early days to snag one. Imagine the disappointment when my "head" popped through the roof on my first race with it. That is one car I just don't understand; it has an open top version which does have an interior! I have enjoyed the game from day one, and so far, the GTi VGT hatch is the only car I have sold (immediately after winning it with a roulette ticket I might ad.) Then there are the ItalDesigns. Rolled out with a bit of pomp and fanfare, and nothing on the inside for either one. Come on! I seriously disagree with you about your #1 worst pick. I understand that the EVs are not your bag, but the Porsche VGT is typically my go to for VGT races, and to have an open version as an option is a bonus for me. I do agree with you about the Daihatsu. It is a compelling car, but with no competitive purpose. Thanks for all of your great content!
No, the Red Bull X2010 isn't a VGT, as the RB has been around in Gran Turismo for a while, it's classed as a prototype. They've been around before Polyphony even started the VGT programme
I think I tried the Porsche Spyder VGT and needed a battery recharge after only 1 lap at De Le Sarthe. While the gas cars could keep going for another 2 laps.
Italdesign off road is are BEAST at vgt series. Top 2 best cars at vgt series. Just not good off road the Suzuki vgt and dahiatsu vgt by far the worst cars in gt7
Nah the Tomahawk is the momey maker. Ye I hate it but its perfect for the AFK method and I only do have 1 of them. I'd add the Genesis VGT,that thing was awfull to drive
L500R is not a good car. I used it ones and that it is lol. They could better. I have a question if anyone knows please tell me. How can I get a ferrari invitation? I am trying to finish those menus for ferrari but I can't but the cars. Thanks
Jaguare VGT is only worse because the battery depletes fast. Electric VGT aren't much fun. Porsche VGT is was a disappointment. The car just stays unused. Its only good for cruising around the tracks.
Take the Tomahawk off the list. I agree it is probably the worse Tomahawk VGT in the game but its still a Tomahawk...which makes it better than most cars in the game.
IMO, they are all just useless. Sure some drive decent but who cares. Just another example that Polyphony is only listening to corporate “ideas” vs consumer request.

I love VGT. I see nothing wrong with the concept. It’s exciting seeing what manufacturers can do without a budget and other constraints. The Porsche VGT is worse lol
I like most VGTs but there are some bad ones like the Mitsubushi VGT
I like VGT too, but unfortunately some are unable to reduce the PP that they are just something to collect but never used.
I agree, I only dislike the ones without the interiors
The Spyder version is THE worst VGT car in the game.
@@Jordy_locoin VR, they’re beyond useless without a cockpit.

Ferrari VGT, McLaren VGT, Lamborghini VGT, and Mazda LM55 VGT are my preferences on terms of driving experience.
I love the LM55 but it's so uncomfortable to drive for me. maybe i just suck at tuning but the car feels like it has way too much understeer
The ‘race car’ issue is a major problem with a lot of legend cars as well. I'm legitimately surprised you left out the Mini VGT. Quite possibly the single laziest design in the game.
Even if the mini hasn't changed in almost a century, like the Porsche 911, even Porsche Vision GT took it to the next level.

I use the Mclaren VGT. Love the way it handles.
That Copen is my #1 just because you can't use it for Kei races and its uselessness which you covered perfectly.
Your worst car is not the worst, the roofed version is the worst. I love an open top. Personal preference.
This is his video, thus based on his preference

Love the E-Tron. It’s great in hypercar races.
Ugh I hate the VGT's! There are so many cars that are not in the game but we keep getting these awful things!
CGT cars don’t replace real cars. We most likely get them so that pd can reach at least 3 cars per update.
Love the Porsche VGT spyder on the ring.

The Peugeot Onyx was made in 2012 not the 1990s
Haha caught this too, small mishap
The nineties one looks like a stretched 405, quite cool. I like the eighties Quasar.. funky cool
I absolutely despise the Suzuki vgt, it steers when it feels like it, and doesn’t when it doesn’t feel like it
I think there cool but I would rather a real new race car like 296 gt3 vantage gt3 or somth like that
The BMW M2 touring car is my favourite by far, the McLaren is now a real car.

is the redbull x2010 a VGT?
For what I know the Red Bull prototypes they are separate from the VGTs

Agree on the Copen: great car; could have lots of fun with it… but nowhere to use it as its a ’race’ car
Why did I get 2 of the VGT’s in this list as gift items in GT7 😂😭
Worst 5 VGTs
5. Suzuki VGT Gr.3
4. VW GTI Roadster VGT
3. Peugeot L500R Hybrid VGT
2. Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV Evolution VGT
1. Daihatsu Copen RJ VGT
