Wow, Taylor's knowledge of music history and all the specifics he has stored in his brain is effing impressive. Knowing which album a deep T-Rex cut is on?! Crazy!
This was great! Taylor is sorely missed. Thank you David “Veggie” Vieira for putting on so many Rocking Chevy Metal shows and terrific Pizza. RIP T. H.
The Struts are so good. Each can sing. And Adam's guitar work is so seasoned for a young age. Gethin and Jed have a very tight rhythm section. Very professional group.
there are 7.6 billion people in the world and as i post this only 13,202 people have seen this version of Keep Yorself Alive -the best possible cover of one of the all time rock n roll standards. You guys in the band are legendsLove your style Taylor( and skills) but Luke you owned it. Jonesy respect as always-love you mate. This should become legend.
Queen should kick their vocalist in to touch and get this kid from the Struts - he has that whole retro Freddie look going on - and he can really do the biz vocally!!! Love this show - wish we could get the whole show including the tunes in the U.K..
I can definitely appreciate the sentiment, but the Struts deserve their own respect. Roger and Brian should've had the good taste not to dishonor their legacy (and Freddie's memory) w/ that Lambert nonsense. Amazing, the lapse in judgement that can occur in such situations...the Jimmy Page/Puff Daddy debacle coming to mind.
W/out a doubt, Cindy. Among the more recent bands, The Struts are one of the few who appear to get what it means to be rock stars, and not be afraid to act and play accordingly.
@@10B1Gjigs so true..tight rhythm section..Geth is a great drummer. Adam's guitar work is so good far more than some mediocre bands today. And then there is Luke..as a 4 octave singer myself, I am constantly amazed at the ease with which he flows thru all the runs he can do. That is training.
Taylor Hawkins, the consummate professional drummer! Driving through the messy 2nd verse of "my shrona", not giving an inch and keeping it strong & interesting while he's digging around for the rhythm, No wonder Grohl steps aside on the drums, luv it!
Wish this listed out all the musicians! What a great collection loving their music! Taylor Hawkins is a real Queen freak! I love him! Now, I am going to listen to The Struts--thanks Taylor!
We drove to las vegas 2015 from edmonton to see Motley crue 2nd to last show at mgm grand ,the struts opened the show never heard of them and they rock live!!! N
The more I listen to Taylor talking the more I like him. Down to Earth and a fantastic sense of humour, almost a British soh. Great as were the rest of the the guys. Steve has great guests and I love his haphazard style. It's refreshing.
I never knew Taylor Hawkins. He died. Now him and Freddie too. Thank heavens their wonderful videod personalities will be the hedge between me and staying blue.
Luke really is Freddie in the early 70s! Not even joking! They should play more songs from Queen I, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at The Opera era! uncanny...🤘🏻🎸
Get the money, haha. That had me rolling. Taylor loves what he does. Saw his special on BBC about drumming. It was brilliant. And the Struts rock. Two quality albums so far. Give us more.
That was alotta fun.Taylor always has fun talking with Jonesy and I agree with some of you here, Brian May, rogeer, you guys need to call up that young man and take him on the road with ya.
He is also one very smart guy! He has this really off handed way of pulling the rug out from under people and grounding them. He doesn't need to do it with this group, but it doesn't let too much ego float around without sticking a pen in it!
@955KLOS you should really pull Keep yourself Alive from this and make it its own video- in honor of its 3 year anniversary perhaps?? It’s such an incredible rendition !!
Is that Brent Woods of Wildside and Vince Neil's solo band fame? If so...I was a huge Wildside fan. California's answer to Skid Row if you ask me and Chevy Metal were a RnMFnR party and a half!
Wow they really made Dave Grohl look EXACTLY like Steve Jones. They must've gotten one of those fancy Hollywood make up/prosthetic people to make him look like that!
Wow that dude should have been the actor in the queen film ..found the guy with the fake teeth bit over the top...this dude looks and sounds like freddie in a way
Rush's Geddy Lee uses Rotosound roundwound bass strings. Why the fuck do I retain useless knowledge like that but I can't remember my moms birthday. I'm such a disappointment, what's new?
Jonesy played Sonic's Rendezvous Band! Wow! Would you believe I saw them at a Catholic HS Dance, that ended with a big drunken rumble, sad but true. 1977..My God that was crap.
I'm not OK with the idea of Taylor Hawkins not being around anymore
What a joy Taylor was . The world is sadder a place without him😢
Taylor was so down to earth and chill. He seems content and happy here.
He's the boss here...extra smiley, happy, miss him x

this was kickass. Taylor should be a regular guest on Jonesy's, he brings a ton of good energy.
Holy Mother - this Singer is so great! Queen should hire him.
The Struts are so good. Each can sing. And Adam's guitar work is so seasoned for a young age. Gethin and Jed have a very tight rhythm section. Very professional group.

The Struts are magic! I have tickets to see them Nov 3rd..cant wait

Luke has a crazy stage presence just like Freddie too
I love Queen so much and seeing Luke Spiller's face makes me happy. It reminds me of Freddie Mercury and i miss him.

Taylor was so happy when his wife texted him saying it was a good performance.
Made me laugh how she didn't know who the guitarist was, it's her husband's band!
How awesome is this? Jonesy is a great interviewer and Taylor is great as always.
The more I listen to Taylor talking the more I like him. Down to Earth and a fantastic sense of humour, almost a British soh. Great as were the rest of the the guys. Steve has great guests and I love his haphazard style. It's refreshing.
What a beautiful down to earth interview..Absolutely loved this..Brilliant Jonesy..Tay was just loving it..Brilliant ❤️
I can’t listen to a Jonesy interview without think about the one where Dave Grohl was imitating him 😂😂😂

Jonesy is an underrated interviewer.
He is also one very smart guy! He has this really off handed way of pulling the rug out from under people and grounding them. He doesn't need to do it with this group, but it doesn't let too much ego float around without sticking a pen in it!
Where I can I find this rating system for interviewers?
Love that taylor was making fun of the name Heavens to Betsy when there was a band with that name in the 90s
everytime i missed Freddie i just came here to see and listen to Luke! He's just so early 70s Freddie i swear-
Damn, always been one of my fav Queen songs!! Yeah!
Taylor's wife on point , that guitarist very good!!
But it made me laugh she didn't know his name, and he is in her husband's band.
Don't sell any tickets! LOL OMG

Taylor is awesome & The Struts are fantastic.
@955KLOS you should really pull Keep yourself Alive from this and make it its own video- in honor of its 3 year anniversary perhaps?? It’s such an incredible rendition !!
That was awesome!! Makes me wish i was in a band...what a great radio station!!
