He demonstrated that it could be used to cut keyways on a shaft. I’ve also seen them used for drilling lock screws to the center of a shaft. I’ve also seen these devices, used to drill, offset holes around the face of a wheel hub, much like you see For go karts. It is very very versatile. Just keep searching RUclips and you will see how much this expand the abilities of a lathe, rather than having to purchase a mill.

This tool help me to make something that needs a milling machine, but with this attachment you can do it on lathe machine 😉
