You’re such a mature kid. Your parents must be so proud of you. Good for you for taking to this platform to help others. My young daughter was recently diagnosed and is adapting well to bracing. She loves your videos. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
I was 7 years old when I was diagnosed with scoliosis. (I'm now 54.) I relate to so much of what you are talking about! I wish I'd had someone to talk to about it at the time. I think you are doing a wonderful thing with this channel. 🥰
Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment with kind words. I hope to reach more parents and kids for the reasons you mention. More videos to come :)
Amazing job, thank-you for sharing your story, it is so important! I was diagnosed around age 11 and wore a brace from age 11 - 14. I'm now 53 years old...living an active, pain free happy life but I HATED my brace! I am so glad you are doing this it will help so many people. 💚👍👊
Thank you so much I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 13 a couple months ago and I’m being put into a brace in a couple of weeks and I’m really nervous about it but also excited to see the outcome your channel has made it so much easier for me to realize that I’m not alone thank you
I was nervous too. It tough at the beginning but it gets easier. If there are any topics or questions you would like me to cover let me know. You’ve got this! 🙌
Love this! Thank you for being open to discussing your experience and positive attitude. I wish I had access to this when I was going through this. Great job, and I'll be recommending this to others.
I was lucky enough to have understanding close friends near when I got the brace around this xmas. The first day I wore it we watched a football match together and, although I could sense something hurting, it helped me distract. I even invited them to try to punch the brace to see how hard it was, pretty fun stuff. Most of my classmates were understanding too but one of them was not and insulted me behind my back to my other friends. I felt betrayed as I thought of him as a friend but, idk, it affected me.

Thanks for your note! I’m happy to hear your daughter enjoys my videos!

Just trying to reach others in the same position to give them encouragement. It’s not easy but worth it!

@@embracethebracewithava hi I was wondering if you could make a video of what it’s like the first day you get your brace

What type of brace are you wearing? What degree curve did you have when you were first diagnosed?
