Hey dad Regarding synaptic transmission, result was not statistically significant because sample size is not enough and guess who is at fault for such a lower sample size
This and "That is a good hammer... stay out of my way" were the most "I love you" and "I like this guy" we have got from neurology... and probably will.
Just finished my neuro rotation and I was criticized for doing serial 7’s like this. I was supposed to have the patient count backwards from 100 by 7’s. I think subtraction better localizes to the primary arithmetic cortex because addition by 7’s requires dual innervation from the red zone of the NFL nucleus.
Plus, counting upward is not necessarily an addition task, since most people probably memorized their multiplication tables by rote, in ascending order, as children.
I, a neurologist, also couldn't help but point out that serial 7s really should be backward from 100... continuing to highlight the extreme accuracy of the neurologist character....
And suddenly I understand Neurology so much better! Now I'm wondering how Radiology's call with his dad went?! Is it even possible to get good reception in a secret underground lair? (If there was anyone that was probably raised in a dark cave like abode, it was him (and maybe Dermatology)!

Love it. Thank you for all us docs' smile and really "LOL." Please include "Prison Medicine." All the same specialties, but different interaction with each other - because inmates are the only group in America who have a guaranteed right to medical care. They self harm to break the boredom, and the specialists are exhausted with the obligations. The prison docs must "sell" patients' problems, like a car salesman, like it's more special this time. They have to take these pts anyway, but it's comical the selling we Prison docs have to come up with each time to a Surgeon when we both know the pt very well, and we both know before the pt even leaves the hospital he will swallow something so he can stay in hospital and (whole pencils, whole nail clippers, screws from tray tables, batteries, pieces of drain metal, surgeons pen, car keys) and the prison doc has be understanding, but at the end of the conversation, prison doc rules, surgeon must take the pt, due to the law. (I am in Texas, not sure if this is a Texas Law only.) One time a Neurosurgeon said, "Do you know who I am?," because he was so mad and didn't want to accept a pt he just discharged and the prison doc was calling back within 24 hrs to re-admit because the inmate ripped out the sutures the neurosurgeon had just put in. Ends up the inmate did it so he could return to flirt with the nursing staff. Neurosurgeon begrudgingly accepted the rebound...only because by law, inmates, are the only group which have rights to medical care, and the state, and all the docs are responsible for making it happen, no matter the circumstances.
