Written by James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore of Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers, “Some Kind Of Bliss” kicked off the campaign for the album “Impossible Princess” in 1997. The video is a classic Bonnie And Clyde-style crime caper. It was shot in the desert of Tabernas in Spain and co-stars British actor (and future “Bohemian Rhapsody “ director) Dexter Fletcher.

@@yvo84 not really. it sold 80k in Australia compared to 500 k for Fever. But it sold more in Australia than in the UK
I get goosebumps every time I hear it , ironically this so called indie track is by far the most upbeat pure pop song on the album ,

@@888bangthory strictly by definition the entire album was 'Indie' as DeConstruction could be considered as an independent label (even though it was a subsidiary of BMG).
However I think SKOB earned it's 'indie' label more because it was a very much a guitar driven song vs most pop songs at the time which were more electronic eg much of Kylie's previous SAW/PWL material.

Love so many songs from this album. it was great seeing Kylie explore this more rock/grunge side. Thee song Breathe is very trip-hop which blends perfectly with the time this album was released. It can definitely make it on its own today. Kylie's albums defy time.
her albums have such a quality and consistency that she will always sell a lot of albums 'disco' and 'golden' for instance still selling well both are no 1 albums in the uk at different points in recent years. she has such a strong unique personality that it always shines through in

Hot and steamy in the desert in an open top sports car with Kylie is definitely some kind of bliss ... This album has always been by far my favourite Kylie album. It definitely rates in the "Classic Albums" of all time category. That will upset the supposed music aficionados but what would they know. I'm a "consumer" and consumers are the most important aficionados by far.
