I've never listened to this theme for long enough to hear the middle 8 and now that I've heard it I like the song a little more. It's still not my favorite but the middle 8 is so goofy that I cant help but love it.
Any interest in an enhancement to the Keff theme? I've still yet to hear a crisp version anywhere on the interwebs yet, and was hoping if you'd located sources for the original samples of previous themes, perhaps you'd locate some for his theme. EDIT: Ah I saw the other comments with the same request :D Well if you do locate the samples, I'd be very interesting in obtaining them also, as I have access to some older 70's synthesizers, and am currently going through Howell's CS-80 tracks but would love to see how closely I can match the master tapes.
The keff theme is one of the hardest to isolate, sourcing is difficult. The best you can get from it, is a bit of melody and sfx. The bassline is barely even extract-able. In my opinion, it's better off trying to recreate the theme as close as possible.

I've always thought this to be an underrated theme, and Dominic was very brave here in dispensing with the famous screaming cliffhanger chord, and introducing something different. Very brave.
sounds nice! but I have a HD version of the Dominic Glynn version (opening titles) that was uploaded by Danny Stewart (on another website, cant remember its name) but Danny mentioned that he had help from Dominic with getting Danny's music on the site (along with Dominics theme) and gave him credit for it

Toy Polloi This theme is mostly known for its bombastic and bouncy nature with the trumpets and all. Kinda matches all the colorful things in the show from the 80's.
The Restoration of Dr Who It was supposed to be a darker version of Howell's theme to suit the darker Doctor. For Season 22 they just played Howell's theme in a lower pitch, which didn't make it sound darker, just ruined the theme. So they hired Dominic Glynn of course as you know to make the new theme for the Trial season.
A horrible rendition of Delia Derbyshire's original, more a nasty bedroom bontempi version than radiophonic effort ugh! Never liked Dominic Glynn's version at all....
