I dearly love Dallas-Fort Worth, my home town for all of my 63 years. But.........enough is enough. I never dreamed we would ever see the population explosion of unbridled growth we are witnessing today, in 2024.
Therefore, due to congestion, crowds, noise, crime, and non- stop construction, I simply must bid "farewell". I hate crowds and loath the crime even more. I sometimes believe that I am the last, real Dallasite native left here.
I never thought I would have to say this, but "Good-bye, Dallas!"
I am escaping to far East Texas up in the piney woods, 200 miles away from the noise, congestion, crime, people, and pollution. I seriously doubt that I will ever dare to return.
Dallas-Fort Worth has become a nightmare of epic proportions.😢
The invaders have destroyed my hometown.

Spoiler alert. If your looking at what they city might look like in 2050. This video is not going to show it to you. It just a video of the city's history and things that happened to get us to today. Not the video I wanted to see.

Dallas has horrible urban planning. I think that it will start a decay within 50 years.

Hate to burst your bubble, but 2050 sounds like way off in the future of flying cars and the jetsons. But that is only 26 years away, and the year 2000 was only 24 years ago and not much has changed.

In 2050, Austin will be outdoing both Dallas & Houston which will be hulks of decay.

too many homeless in austin, shortage of hotels and mispriced, airport too modest to support big business; infrastructure lagging behind growth in austin; cultural institutions paltry compared to d-fw and houston. no comparison between these metro areas; callifornians and new yorkers haven't figured that out yet, but they are clueless generarlly

The Dallas infrastructure is so much better possibly the best roads in the US. Never had a flat tire until I moved to Austin. The roads will get resurfaced and still be bumpy to drive on in Austin. In Dallas we rebuild instead of resurface. You can feel the difference and see it too
