I think u should know that one line distribution isn't fair bc of the amount of lines, it's supposed to be fair bc if u r rapper, then u deserve only rap lines, if u r singer u deserve only vocal lines, so, it's fair bc of the type of lines, not the amount
The line distribution of "lovesick Girls" in this video is Bad. This guy/girl made a huge mistake because he/she have counted everyone's part like only Rose or Jennie

By the numbers Lovsick Girls has the worst line distribution but if you compare other factors it is not that bad. Only Jennie & Rose's shared part in chores made it this way.

The line distribution is pretty fair. Eventhough Lisa has most lines it's mostly 'yeyeye, dududu, bumbumbum' or some repetitive lines and one verse. Jisoo really deserves more lines tho because I don't think they should give just 18 seconds in a 3-4mins song with only 4 members. You hate on Lisa because she is only a lead rapper and has a lot of lines (what is not really true) and sToLe Jennie's rap parts. *Main > Lead > Sub* *Blackpink has one of the fairest line distribution yet people always make the issues bigger than they are. It does make sense that Rosé and Jennie are the most at rank 1 and 2 since they're the main vocalist and the main rapper + a lead vocalist. Jisoo is also a lead vocalist, Lisa is the lead rapper and a sub-vocalist. I agree that Jisoo's lines could be more in some songs but it definitely improved with The Album. It also makes sense that Lisa's least lines are in Hope Not and Stay since they're more of the vocally based songs and she's only a sub-vocalist. She normally gets a lot of lines for a lead rapper and can show off her full potential in that category which is great. So everyone needs to think unbiased: How would it be possible to give more lines from for example Jennie to Jisoo when Lisa often has all of the rap lines? It's a bit messy sometimes with the distribution but definitely still really fair compared to other groups and the situaion already improved with The Album. It let the girls show off their strengths and every member had their moments to shine. I love all 4 girls and if you would as well then there wouldn't be such jealousy and toxicity. Let's all take a step back sometimes and try to look at the situation from an unbiased perspective. And at the end of the day it's not possible to have 100% fair line distributions all the time, companies care about the quality of music more than fair lines, that's how it is in the business. Sometimes certain members don't suit the songs as well as others or aren't as versatile. Yet Blackpink's music is on another level quality wise so keep supporting our girls! :)

@@artina1571 It depends; main vocalists' position is not about having your voice suited to the song but to ace the hardest parts of a certain song. Main vocalists may not have their voice color or quality matched with some songs and that is totally okay, because they are in charge of high notes or highly technical singing parts which all require a vocal range, support, and/or sometimes resonate that only best vocalist in a group can pull off which is the main vocalist. Thus, more lines =/= main vocalists. Same with rappers, "lines" are counted by seconds but bars can be delivered fastly or slowly. Having fast doesn't mean the lines are less, having slow bars doesn't mean the lines are more.

Unpopular opinion: everyone 25% is not fair if you take different positions and skills into consideration. Also, it's not just about the amount, but also which lines go to which member. I would say their best line distributions are D4 and LSG.

Wow never knew Blackpink has one of the most fair line ditributions. Ofc there are still some songs that aren't really fair for the line distribution but it's usually the collabs. It's as if YG couldn't make a decent LD if Blackpink collabed cuz they are perfect with 4 members already. For the album, the line distribution is not that bad, keep in mind Jisoo and Rosé percent kinda goes up when they sing selena's part, and Lisa's goes up when she sings Cardi's part. Plus 20%-29% is actually pretty fair. I know people get upset about the line distribution of Blackpink, but they honestly have one of the most fair line distributions in kpop

You all just like to complain. Rosé and Jennie will usually be on top and Jisoo will most likely always be on the bottom. It would be different if there was like 8 members and Jisoo was always last, but there is only 4. Why would a lead vocalist ever have more lines than the main vocalist and main rapper/lead vocalist? That makes no sense. And Bp songs usually cater to rap so Lisa, being the lead rapper gets more lines. They have positions for a reason.

Did you notice that in the songs where rose and jennie are first sometimes there is a lot of difference with other posts? but when lisa and jisoo are first there is little difference with the others. Unpopular opinion: Kick it is NOT fair. Most of Bp songs aren't. Y'all call it fair when everyone gets more or less equal amount of lines. But it is fair only when each one of them is able to show their strongest sides when barely comes for Jennie. She barely gets to rap in Blackpink songs being the main rapper and one of the best in K-pop. She is such an ace. She is top tier in every category and shines with vocals anyways.

The line distribution is actually fair if you think about it. It doesn’t have to be equal to be fair. Jennie and Rosé are the main rapper and main vocalist... they should have the most lines. Lisa has been rapping a lot more in place of Jennie recently so that’s probably why she has more lines. Jisoo is the lead vocalist, and so has no main position that would get her the most lines.
I honeslty think their line distribution is really fair (being fair and being equal are two different things) Rosé gets a lot of singing lines as main vocalist and even when she doesn't get the most she still gets a good amount, Jisoo also gets a lot of singing lines but she's only a lead vocalist which is why she gets less than Rosé, she also gets really memorable lines that usually aren't repetitive, Jennie is a rapper and vocalist so it makes sense that she'd get a lot of lines, even when she doesn't rap the amount she sings makes up for it and Lisa gets a lot of raps and she's the sub vocalist so she gets the repetitive lines. Ice cream and Playing With Fire were the only times where she got a lot of lines with ACTUAL lines and not just repetitive words which is why I think people shouldn't use songs like Forever Young, AIIYL against her. Overall they all get lines that compliment their positions.
Yall fighting in the comments but, you know that statistically, Rose is the main vocal so she should have most lines. Jisoo is lead vocal so she should have at least second place or first but definitely not 4th. Jennie is the main rapper so she should have at least third place. jisoo has loads of lines? She usually always has verse and pre chorus parts, doesn't repeat lines and ends up with 20 seconds, and jeongyeon is 1st in many TWICE songs as well as 3rd or 4th overall out of 9. Its actually really good, just look at any other gg with 4 or 9 members, chances are its worse.

*Blackpink has one of the fairest line distribution yet people always make the issues bigger than they are. It does make sense that Rosé and Jennie are the most at rank 1 and 2 since they're the main vocalist and the main rapper + a lead vocalist. Jisoo is also a lead vocalist, Lisa is the lead rapper and a sub-vocalist. I agree that Jisoo's lines could be more in some songs but it definitely improved with The Album. It also makes sense that Lisa's least lines are in Hope Not and Stay since they're more of the vocally based songs and she's only a sub-vocalist. She normally gets a lot of lines for a lead rapper and can show off her full potential in that category which is great. So everyone needs to think unbiased: How would it be possible to give more lines from for example Jennie to Jisoo when Lisa often has all of the rap lines? It's a bit messy sometimes with the distribution but definitely still really fair compared to other groups and the situaion already improved with The Album. It let the girls show off their strengths and every member had their moments to shine. I love all 4 girls and if you would as well then there wouldn't be such jealousy and toxicity. Let's all take a step back sometimes and try to look at the situation from an unbiased perspective. And at the end of the day it's not possible to have 100% fair line distributions all the time, companies care about the quality of music more than fair lines, that's how it is in the business. Sometimes certain members don't suit the songs as well as others or aren't as versatile. Yet Blackpink's music is on another level quality wise so keep supporting our girls! :)

Thus, more lines =/= main vocalists.
Same with rappers, "lines" are counted by seconds but bars can be delivered fastly or slowly. Having fast doesn't mean the lines are less, having slow bars doesn't mean the lines are more.

Unpopular opinion: Kick it is NOT fair.
Most of Bp songs aren't. Y'all call it fair when everyone gets more or less equal amount of lines. But it is fair only when each one of them is able to show their strongest sides when barely comes for Jennie. She barely gets to rap in Blackpink songs being the main rapper and one of the best in K-pop. She is such an ace. She is top tier in every category and shines with vocals anyways.

Kick it is EQUAL, but it isn't fair at all. D4 and Whistle would be the fairest songs of BP (in whistle, Rosé high note, Lisa vocal part, both Jennie and Lisa rap, Jisoo has original lines and not just the prechorus)
If y'all wanna say that a song is fair or not, first check if both Jennie and Lisa have a proper rap.
What I dislike about it is that Jennie takes the singing parts from Jisoo and Lisa the rapping parts so Jisoo barely has lines. I think Kick It sounded cool and Jennie wouldn't fit better than Lisa that rap (she is better than Lisa but their styles are different) so what's the point in forcing a Jennie rap?

You know what, it's pretty clear you want Lisa out of Blackpink. I saw you in other threads in every praises to Lisa you butt in Jennie. Well, bad news for you, Blackpink can't thrive without ace Lisa who can dance immensely, rap like a main rapper TOO (so i'm not saying Jennie is not main rapper, Lisa is just also an MR material), and can help a bit in vocals.

The line distribution is actually fair if you think about it. It doesn’t have to be equal to be fair. Jennie and Rosé are the main rapper and main vocalist... they should have the most lines. Lisa has been rapping a lot more in place of Jennie recently so that’s probably why she has more lines. Jisoo is the lead vocalist, and so has no main position that would get her the most lines.
I honeslty think their line distribution is really fair (being fair and being equal are two different things)
Rosé gets a lot of singing lines as main vocalist and even when she doesn't get the most she still gets a good amount, Jisoo also gets a lot of singing lines but she's only a lead vocalist which is why she gets less than Rosé, she also gets really memorable lines that usually aren't repetitive, Jennie is a rapper and vocalist so it makes sense that she'd get a lot of lines, even when she doesn't rap the amount she sings makes up for it and Lisa gets a lot of raps and she's the sub vocalist so she gets the repetitive lines. Ice cream and Playing With Fire were the only times where she got a lot of lines with ACTUAL lines and not just repetitive words which is why I think people shouldn't use songs like Forever Young, AIIYL against her. Overall they all get lines that compliment their positions.
Yall fighting in the comments but, you know that statistically, Rose is the main vocal so she should have most lines. Jisoo is lead vocal so she should have at least second place or first but definitely not 4th. Jennie is the main rapper so she should have at least third place. And Lisa is the main dancer so she statically should be last and instead in the center in things like dance breaks. And that is called fair line distribution, end of converstation.

jisoo has loads of lines? She usually always has verse and pre chorus parts, doesn't repeat lines and ends up with 20 seconds, and jeongyeon is 1st in many TWICE songs as well as 3rd or 4th overall out of 9. Its actually really good, just look at any other gg with 4 or 9 members, chances are its worse.
