Thanks for the info! Just ordered an atlas 4.0 since they are doing a deal right now to get a free visor with it! Super excited to get it a try it after riding with the hjc i71 for the past year or so
I had a negative experience with Ruroc 3.0. I currently have Shoei and Simpson that are both in the 1 - 2 years of their life. It’s not practical for me to give them another chance since these helmets are not cheap. I’m really happy to hear your experience was much better with the current version.
That black liquid one will probably be my go to if I had that one too. I got the street king 4.0 instead. I’ve been hearing a lot of complaints with the 3.0s when they first came out, but surprisingly I’ve had zero issues with mine. I guess it all depends. My head is probably shaped differently 😂 but thanks for your honesty tho! Really enjoy your content! 🤙🏽👊🏽
Ty for the vlog , gonna order it for my son 👍👍👍
Had mine for 4 years. No problems with mine. Actually crashed and helmet took care of my head. Light!
Which version did you have?
The red is super clean. Love the channel. 😎😎😎
🤘🏽
I love the look of the Ruroc, but I’ve never tried one on, and I don’t like that it’s not not modular personally. I wish they had a modular with that look, and all those features.
Thank you!
Nice looking helmet
I been thinking to buy a motorcycle for a while now. And my research for the best helmet brought me here. As of right now, this is the best helmet I have found, pricy yeah, worthy? For my taste is more that a maybe but is not a “yes” yet either😅
I have had my liquid carbon 4.0 close to a year as well, doesn't seem to fit as snug, but only noticeable when it is extremely windy, also the weather stripping started to come off of the helmet, adhesive worked, I'm thinking the hot climate I live in had something to do with it, so a few quibbles, I also pulled the trigger on purchasing the photochromic visor, spendy but no need to worry if the sun goes down, still like the helmet
The weather stripping would that be covered under a warranty? Also what adhesive did you use?
Some 3m adhesive I got at the hardware store I don't know about the warranty, it would be a pain to send back, ill live with it but for the money I don't think it should happen, my next helmet might be a Shoei which is too bad because I like the fit and looks of it@@methuseluh1
My ONLY qualm is the lack of a flip-down sun-shield. Aside from that I love my Carbon Nebula
Nice review and good information I hate the straight out of the box reviews where about all you learn is “it’s shiny “ as motorcycle clothing often needs to bed in and problems only make themselves really apparent after some wear. I am still very cautious about Ruroc after the 3.0 wasn’t the helmet that some influencers said it was and people who paid for them got burned . I do have a question for you did you pay for the helmet or did Ruroc offer you it to review? Other than that the helmet appears to be what the 3.0 should have been and I have seen a few positive reviews from customers.
What do you think about the weight? I have the 3 and I'm happy with it, but the weight is noticeable; it's certainly not a lightweight helmet. If I'm not mistaken, the 4 is even heavier.
Shoei RF 1400 for me all day. But they are some nice looking helmets
I agree the Ruroc looks pretty damn awesome, but are you going to do a review on the bell srt modular helmet? That would be super duper interesting for sure.
Yea that’s next
@@MK87_ Awesome ✌🏼
You probably won’t see this but I’m wondering about visibility at night
I like both of mine. Honestly that shockwave is a big feature. Keep hearing about how terrible they are from people who have never even seen one in person. Then people will crap on sponsored riders. I get the 3.0 had issues. I get people have had QC and return issues. I however as a sample size of 2 have never had these issues so thats all I can say.
I hate full face buckets.
That being said … I live in Chitown
I ride year when roads permit.
So it’s a necessity for some times if the year.
I have 6 months with the Rurok. I love it. Looks dope (these things usually look HUGE on my head), it’s comfy, most importantly is the field of view feels less restrictive than the Biltwell lane splitter I had before. The Rurok is light af too.
Negatives: the photochomatic visor isn’t as nice as the stock one with pin lock but I can’t fit my sun glasses under. The first one didn’t want to unlatch without bending the visor. Also that free Bluetooth system it came with fkn BLOWS. can’t even pick up the phone signal well with the phone in the road glide phone glovebox. And buttons aren’t useable with gloves.
But overall.. the 4.0
Carbon core (poverty spec one)… for a full face .. it kicks ass.
Compare it to your bell modular helmet.
Ruroc
Wanna sell that red one ?
If only they made a modular version....
That would be cool
If you don't use the red helmet swing it my way lol 😂
It's hard to trust reviews when you're supplied helmets by the company
God dammit jerry
😂😂😂😂
Not a bad helmet if it was 250-300$ but for their current price point not worth it at all. Just good marketing.
Just Grab a shoei.
Felt the same way.. got mine for 256.00
The street core version is 275 that carbon is alittle over priced I got the carbon for a steal dude thought he had the street
Where the hell are you guys finding shoei helmets for 200-300???
Dude, I love my 3.0. Couple of mods and the helmet is dope. It's almost time to get a new helmet due to foam age (3rd year). Ruroc's been getting so much hate. They are the best looking helmet on the market IMHO. Looking at the new EOX. Your skull is worth at least a grand. If you got enough to stage 2,3,4 your bike, you can spend a grand on gear. Stage 2 your face. lol.
Ruroc helmets suck.
Yup-can’t get behind a helmet that’s not snell approved
Yeah shoei hjc icon bell arai agv are all better options imo for safety reasons and customer support
Love my shoie transitions lens. Never have to worry about changing it out
Why do they suck?
@@methuseluh1 their customer service. Tried getting support for a defective helmet that showed up with a crack and they told me it was my issue not theirs.
