    I don’t understand brands making you adjust climate controls and other things by forcing you to take your eyes off the road to call up the proper screen to make changes to stuff. Talk about distracted driving…just use buttons and switches.

      I can control climate controls, the radio and just about everything else in my Ram by voice. All I have to do is say “ Hey Ram, turn the a/c down to low” or something like that.

    I am kind of surprise Ram didn't have the rearview camera. I figured more and more manufactures would start putting that in. I put one in my suv and love it. Works really well. I can tell the Tundra has a better anti-glare for theirs then the 3rd party I have on mine. Anyways Ram needs to put the passenger 10 inch screen in all their trims. I kind don't understand why they don't. Even in the highest trims they don't always have it in there. Both trucks also need to come down in price by a good 15-20k. Prices are just crazy especially for trucks. Some dealership are taking 5-15k off of the msrp on Rams, so it's happening. MSRP needs to be low price to begin with.

    Like the Ram looks wise but don’t like the premium gas requirement for limited.
    I like the tundra but doesn’t look as good, interior isn’t as nice, it doesn’t have auto 4wd; and remote start is quirky (no key fob button, not called out in owners manual, and they disable it after 10 years).

    When Toyota went with the V6 twin turbo, they made big mistake, they should have just kept the V8 and added a hybrid to it, such a big disappointment, Ram wins in every category, plus that tried and true 8speed, flawless! Who needs 2 extra gears, I think I have watched enough videos about the many issues That Toyota has with the V6 engines

  • @reignfire85
    @reignfire85 Месяц назад

    Heh, I didn't even know Toyota had a Platinum trim; learn something new every day. Mirrors on the Tundra are less risky to hit things since they're much smaller, but the Ram has nicer wheels. Tundra's kick step is also pretty useful (Chevy having cutout steps in their bumpers is a great idea, and I'll have to keep in mind to add a kick step for when I eventually have a pickup). No underseat storage in the Tundra sucks. Column shifter in the Tundra is my preference over the dial shifter of the Ram, but the Ram has a classier interior (aside from passenger screen, but then again I dislike the sunroof in the Tundra). But the Tundra has that starry night startup screen while the Ram doesn't. The Ram has an improved grille but I still don't quite think it's to my liking, whereas the Tundra's is fairly good but not great.
    Yeah, even with the recent issues Toyota's been having in so many damn models, I have to say the Tundra has more appeal here.

    I am shopping for a truck now and I will NOT buy one. lease only. Surly ok, by me. Too much can and will go wrong. Too many computers, sensors, plastic parts and reliability is unknow.....period. You can't drive them with no coverage and extended one will cost a lot. I hear that the new RAM has some Thermostat issues at around 25-30K on the clock. Its made out of plastic and its failing.

    Ram engine isn't really all that new it has already been used in the Grand Wagoneer for 2 years now. So not a lot of hoopla going on with the Wagoneer Twins as far as engine related failures. I think I saw one where the T-Stat housing burst and caused a overheating issue and eventually killed the engine, but it doesn't seem to be a real common issue probably a defective housing or over tightened on the assembly line. Ram is killing the competition as of late, That Toyota Limited Interior would be more in line with Rams Laramie lineup the Capstone is probably right inline with the Limited but Ram has the Tungsten model which takes it even further North !!! I actually like the Ram as I feel you get a more substantial Truck for the same amount of coin. To me Toyota exterior design is FUGLY whereas the Ram is more subtle.

The hurricane has had horrible reliability issues in the wagoneers and the tundras v6 isn't far behind in reliability track record. So far, the F150 is the most attractive looking truck of 2024.
