Lyrics :
Give me a ticket for an airoplane
I ain't got time to take no fast train
You know, the lonely days are gone
I'll be right home
My baby wrote me a letter
I don't care how much money I've got to spend
I won't find my way home again
You know the lonely days are gone
I'll be right home
My baby wrote me a letter
She wrote me a letter
Said she couldn't live without me no more
Listen to me mister don't you ever ravin'
My baby once more
Anyway
Give me a ticket for an airoplane
I ain't got time to take no fast train
You know ,the lonely days are gone
I'll be back home
My baby wrote me a letter

Said she couldn't live without me no more
Listen to me mister don't you ever ravin'

Girl,the lonely days are gone
I'll be back home

One of the great rock and blues performances of all time. Joe Cocker looking "rode hard and hung up wet."
My baby wrote me a letter!!
My favorite when he sang with Leon Russell @the piano.
Love his voice and style, he sing with vocals so amazing that it makes me feel like i am in the song, I love music and I love music running through my soul, The instruments are connected to the energy touching the emotions. Love You Joe Cocker and thank you for your gift of music.
My Absolute Favorite ❤️😍💙 Foreverrrrr. Not Many Days go by That he's Not playing in my Ear. Rockn in Heaven. 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗

По-молодости он эту песню совсем по другому исполнял. Это был шторм. а теперь старческий пук.

Il semblerait que you tube a changé et qu'on ne puisse plus partager.. Un problème ? Besoin de plus d'argent ? Quel est le souci ?
Tell me there is a DVD of this show?
Yes just Google 😁
You would think 30+ years of technology would have these performances sounding better - and you'd be wrong.
How is it that any live recording from several decades past, sounds better than this stuff? The drums sound like plastic, the guitars and piano both sound like synthesizers.
Shoot me.
What are you talking about??????
So Tina Turner's band is pretty much Joe Cocker's band in the off season eh?
I guess Leon Russell was busy.
My baby sent me a text.
i liked chris daughtrys version better, but i do like joe cocker
