How to Install Custom Indicators on MT4 Mac

Learn how to install custom indicators and EAs on the MT4 for Mac solution. I do not recommend using this solution, for the reasons that I mention in the video. However, if you insist on using it, this video will show you how to do it and work around one of the most common issues.

Hi! Not sure if you still need assistance but the following worked for me: show package content > contents > SharedSupport > metatrader4 > support > drive_c > Program Files (x86) > MetaTrader 4 > MQL4 & from there you will see Indicators and can drag the indicator there or Experts where you can drag the EA there. Make sure you drag the dll file to 'Libraries' for the indicator if one is included. Hopefully, this helps if it's still needed!

would be nice to have an updated vdo mate .....after the Mac OS update, it seems lots f issue to run mt4 and install custom indicator ...ti's sad after so many years, mt4 still does not have native MT4 ...

Best thing is to Remote Desktop into a dedicated Windows computer. I don't use MT on Mac, it's too frustrating. I've had some Mac network issues after the update too.

Hey man are you able to help me out ? I’m having issues with the install of new indicators . It won’t let me drag the files into the appropriate folders . Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Did you figure this out? I have the same problem. A developer made me an EA and it won't drag or paste into the folder at all.

@@SL4CKIN also, on the video, when he gets to the MQL4 folder, if you are trying to install an EA, put it in the “Experts” folder from in there (he puts his in his “Indictors” folder, but up ‘til that stage, the method’s the same as his).
