I think I have MM niece situation figured out. When her father told her about her sister being reunited with her daughter, the family was probably really happy and all excited for Samantha and Ashley. Moet likely, family was saying how Samantha was doing good and changing ger life around, etc. For once, the older sister was getting the attention. They all talk about MM being the favorite of her father, etc. I think MM didn't like not being the center of attention, jumped in to form this relationship with Samantha's daughter in order to, in theory, "steal her away". So everyone will say, "look how wonderful MM is with Ashley. Look how they spend this time together. Look how close they are and look how great and wonderful MM is". Because how dare Samantha take attention away from MM, she is punished by having her daughter emotionally taken away by MM. To be honest, when you read interviews with non immediate family members the father and his three children all seem to have similar issues including a need to live their lives in the media gaze and trying to do everything via the media rather than in person. Saying that Meghan did do one thing, she ensured that her father who had been estranged from BOTH of his older children for years reconnected with them as a result to that was good (possibly). He still hasn't met most of his grandchildren though and I mean 6 out of the 7.

Because how dare Samantha take attention away from MM, she is punished by having her daughter emotionally taken away by MM. When MM has publicity exploited the niece and together they both trashed Samantha on Netflix for the world to see? When Samantha's humiliation and emotional abuse was complete, where is Ashley? Oh, MM did not need her anymore, she was Markled.
I think Ashley knew Meghan was lying. Her body language betrays her. I also think its super weird a grown woman is so desperate and clingy for this relationship to a relative whom she met in adulthood. The whole Markle clan is odd.

Her daughter, the youngest one who has restraining orders out - as does her father - against her mother and her mother's boyfriend alleging abuse on their parts allegedly with plenty of medical proof to back up her claims, might not agree with you on that while her behaviour in London got her put on the police/security services watchlist as a possible danger to the royals.
To be honest, when you read interviews with non immediate family members the father and his three children all seem to have similar issues including a need to live their lives in the media gaze and trying to do everything via the media rather than in person. Saying that Meghan did do one thing, she ensured that her father who had been estranged from BOTH of his older children for years reconnected with them as a result to that was good (possibly). He still hasn't met most of his grandchildren though and I mean 6 out of the 7.

She lived with us for less than a year when I was 5 but I don’t remember her like that & we didn’t interact like that bc I didn’t know English too well. I’m 75% Korean & an army brat & was born & lived in Korea til 5 yrs old. She got kicked out cuz she was being disrespectful to my mom. & my dad disowned her.
