Cup holders ! Brilliant idea, many club runs with coffee in the lap 😂
Classic!
I just installed their cup holder. Brilliant!
Reasonably priced too. Well done!
Cheers 🍻
I wish these were around in the 80’s when I was passing my test in and then owning 13 Mini’s ! I used to just move the front seat bracket to the other side of the horizontal floor brace
My cars were strictly 2 seats for the most part 😁
Always want them to tilt the seat to. You should see the Australian factory fitted seatbrackets, still three holes but the further back it also tilted the seat. Havent seen that til today.
I just ordered the seat extender brackets. I'm fed up with the flex from the cheap ones and the better mount options for my aftermarket seats should be a great bonus. Excited to fit them and great to buy from a company local to me too.
Thanks for your purchase Alex! Appreciate it.
Brilliant idea. On my Christmas list already!
Cheers!
Mini cars are for mini people I'm never had problem but then I'm 5ft6in!
These brackets not only look nice and solid, they look smart too! Must get some ordered and those cup holders look fantastic too. They'd be a smart, unique touch to my Mini over here in the UK ;)
Glad you like them, and appreciate the comment!
@@Stevestonmotorco I see they're now sold out?!! Will they be back in stock soon please?
These look a big improvement, however they are still single share.
There are a double share bracket available out of the UK
I'm 6ft and I've never had a problem with the original driving position. I have an '83 and an '85. You're right that those old seat extenders are crap. I bought some to try them out, and decided I liked the seating position better without them. The fixing hole in your bracket does seem awfully close to the bracket edge though...
I saw a similar seat bracket that could move sideways (left - right) too.
So excited to pick up a set of these, couldn't help but think the original style extender brackets were a bit cheap feeling too.
I'd love some kind of phone holder to go in place of the ash tray on mini's with the black padded dash please! ❤️
That's a good idea for phone holder position.
Top idea on the cup holder👍
Glad you like it!
How about a video about alternative seats for a mini? I’m in Maryland, USA and I have given up trying to locate OEM seats for my 1993 Mini.
as a 6'3" man looking to dive into a classic mini this looks great, I tried driving one with the old bracket extension and was not comfy. What aftermarket seat would you recommend pairing it with to maximize the leg room for us taller folks? Cheers
What is the music title at the end of the video?
Great bracket!
Can the cup holder be mounted to the inside bracket? I just showed my wife and she immediately said that it would need to be on the other side of the seat because she'd kick it.
Yes it can be flipped and mounted to face the inside.
I made a basic version of these myself as a quick and temporary solution but I would like the seat even further back (I'm 6' 3"). The seat is already hitting the side bin. Do you or anyone else with this problem recommend new slimmer seats (don't know what) or modifying the bin?
I think I can make the bin thin enough without moving the seatbelt retractor.
That's a tricky one! Some seats are definitely narrower than others so you might be interested in swapping them. Or then look at ways to maybe bring the seats closer towards the center of the car and away from the door and side bin.
Would preferí a kit with the Cross member bracket in unit whith the extender bracket.
It's an interesting idea that has been done several times before. It also hugely increases costs, and not many people are willing to pay high dollar for a set of seat extenders. For those that are, there are some very nice brackets available. We present our design as a nice way of adding the extension, maintaining high rigidity and strength, and not costing a fortune.
Smart idea guys.
🙌
Will the cup holder fit a soda/monster can?
Yes it will fit a standard 12oz or 355ml soda can.
love my steveston fix, just got my first mini last week. think its the same as the mini in this vid, austin city e. any chance for a beginner mini maintenance guide? changing wing mirrors, fitting lamp bars etc
Congrats on the mini! We've got a lot of beginner maintenance videos up if you dig through older videos.
@@Stevestonmotorco yes Ofc, I’ve watched every video of yours! however some more niche bodywork stuff like as I say mirrors or Italian job style lamp bars would be great to see. Keep up the excellent work 👍🏻
Out of curiosity how close does the cup holder sit to a Mk1 door pocket?
We haven't been able to test that. But the cup holder can be flipped and also fixed to the inside of the rails just the same if door clearance is an issue
Hi the brackets sold out, any thing more down in the pipeline?
Yep expecting more stock next week
