I imagine you don't get paid much for your youtube videos but please don't stop making them, they are so helpful and high quality
Russell really glad you are enjoying the videos. We will continue to make as much as we can in our spare time, and are starting a Patreon account to help fund it a bit so we can continue to make new and awesome content 😎
@@Stevestonmotorco Hey Stevestonmotorco I am wanting to buy a mini. I am 6.6ft tall do you think I would be able to fit in one? If no is there any seat adjustments/upgrades I can do to make my self fit??
@@bigaidy1481 considering you haven't gotten a response, I will help.
I'm 2 meters tall and my brothers is just a little bit less tall. We just bought a '86 mini and the only problem being our size is you leg hitting the wheel (you don't want to make the wheel any smaller, makes it impossible to park)
So we have chosen to fit the chair as far backwards as possible, while not hitting the rear-bin.
Also make sure you have bucketseats, so you sit a little bit lower.
@@iaintdonknow Thanks for your response!
@@bigaidy1481 Hi BigAidy1, in addition to iaintdonknow's suggestion which is correct there are also steering wheel boss extension kits which bring the steering wheel closer to you and give a little more room between the wheel and your knees. The combination of these 2 ideas should make it possible for your to drive a classic Mini comfortably although be aware its doubtful anyone will be able to sit behind you for more than short journeys.
Thanks guys! Really LOVED the end where you showed the mini in question off a bit. Who doesn’t love seeing the finished project with glam shots to boot? Would love to see more of that.
Brian Vinciguerra yea always awesome to be able to show off some great local mini’s
@@Stevestonmotorco Hey Stevestonmotorco I am 6.6ft and am really wanting to buy a mini. Do you think someone of my size would be able to fit in one?
Hi. Mini owner in Scotland for over 30 years. Your videos are great, well done. I love the respect you have for the car including its original foibles.
I honestly thought until just now that you guys had hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of subscribers.
You guys deserve a bigger audience; the vids are such good quality, keep it up!
C. H. Thank you so much! That’s the goal
I have recently discovered the absurd wonderfulness of classic minis. Your channel is fantastic and I love your style quality is outstanding. You've earned a subscriber here! I am currently looking for a mini of my own so I'm sure your guides will come in handy...
Wow this took me back in time. At 6' 4" I needed these in my 1967 mini when I was a teenager, combined with the bracket to lower the angle of the steering wheel I wouldn't say it was roomy but it was a hell of a lot more comfortable
4:42 that end my friends! Hell yeah! Awesome video :)
The later minis have thicker seats, which limits the rearward travel a bit, even with these brackets. I've fitted them on '97 Cooper - it gives a bit more travel, but not as much as for the older cars with the thin seats.
Yes just spent an hour to find that out lol only get a 1cm extra seat feels higher as well
Lol
I bought a set of those brackets and they looked like cast alloy. I didn’t feel like they were sturdy enough to hold the weight.
Good video too!
Great quality video's you guys have. What I like about this one, is that you've added some small funny scenes/sounds (like seat moving on the beat!). Makes it even better to watch!
Another really excellent video! I love how you explain everything so anyone can understand.
Another great video! Keep it up. Greetings from Portugal!
Nice to see a Mini retaining the original Russet Brown :) I had one years ago and didn't appreciate the "British Racing Brown" the way I do now. Very nice!
It's not common but very pretty
@@Stevestonmotorco Can't get more 70's than earth tones :)
Nice video, clear and to the point.
Like you simple yet well crafted videos.
Great videos, any chance of pulling together a video on clutch replacement, pre verto or exhaust comparisons between maniflow and rc40 etc. Waiting on the next one.
Philip Preen great idea, next clutch job we do will be sure to film, lots of good info on that
Thank you !!! Super easy to do. 👍
Glad it helped!
If you used a bit longer bolt and a little spacer could you move it even more to the right?
Great video. Thx. I've just order them
Love your style - keep it up!
Ho sir, where did you buyed the two nuts that are used to close the front grille? Thanks
thanks! was going to order one... which one did you order? can you link it?
what camera do you guys film with? loving the videos!
Thanks Todd! Just a Canon 80D.
You’re awesome!
(Big fan from Italy)
Thank u. Great editing and lovely mini´s I feel like the moving seat scene was alot of work ._.
Derptato took a little while 😅
can you still slide the seat back and forth with the factory rails?? or does it stay stationary
I just bought my first classic Mini and feel like the seat is too high, and I am only 5ft 10" Is there an easy way to lower the seat height?
You'd probably be looking at chopping down and welding the seat mounts. It wouldn't be difficult for someone with a welder.
Keep up the great videos
you guys are awesome!
Lone Star Mini thanks! You too!
Will these fit in a 451 smart fortwo ?
Greetings from Indonesia
I genuinely love the quality and style of your videos, please keep these videos coming - however - 2:02 - did you just fart? :)
The Gentleman's Motor Racing Team hahahahaha that sir is the sound of 1970’s British vinyl 😉
My car dint come with the stock hardware, so the mechanism doesnt work wen i installed it, do u knw whr can i get the stock hardware that allows the mechanism to work?
Which bolts do you need exactly? You can very likely find them locally
@@Stevestonmotorco wen i fixed the adaptor, i tried picking up the seat, its not moving, is it bcoz the bolt frm the adapter to the seat is too tight?
It might be. You should also check to see if there is an interference with any part that needs to rotate for the seat to lift.
u need to come to Turkey . There are plenty of mini^s which need your help
Im in BC too. Where do you get those race number decals?
Darick Holler there are quite a few places that sell them. Check out “screen print digital” on eBay, just got a big set of decals from them and they are great quality
could a 6ft 5 person fit in with these brackets installed
You can fit without them.. just get a bosskit and a sports steering wheel
Whats the music near the end?
When's that carb video coming?
Harry Sharrock working on it, it’s going to be very in depth so we want to get it just right, stay tuned!
@@Stevestonmotorco I'll look forward to it 👍
I have never noticed. But I can bet it will wind me up now.
👍👌
Sucks I won't be able to buy my own Classic Mini around 10 years later since I am a poor college student in debt.
Keep your head up! It'll come sooner than you think.
Have you heard of Lumerit? Maybe it could work for you. Google them.
