looking good, im glad you didn't glue the carpet to the floor/sound pads!!I beleve you have a bit if 10 mm bar missing from the rear floor that the round knob on seat releaces,, a hook under seat? or did I drunkenly dream that ? and I put a thin bit of plywood or similar under the seat contact aria!! terrible desighn falt happy birthday big boy!!
lovely carpet set fits well may have to invest in a set at some point. its better than the 💩 i brought from a well known mini on line shop that does sports bits lol
mark piper the online shops are only good when you need to make a car you are going to drive often or use as track car not a show car lol. My mini needs lots of body work and I am going to buy non genuine because I would like to take it round brands hatch I don't what to crash a car I have £2000 pounds in just panels in.
Done it! What an awful job, as it didn't fit very well, was too wide for the car, and really stiff tarry backing, so the centre tunnel is now humped up in the middle, as I didn't want to cut the trim off the sides. Thanks for the inspiration though, wouldn't have done it without your video.
I don't know, I bought it on ebay, from someone who said they'd changed their mind about fitting it, so it was new, (they hadn't cut any holes for gearstick or seat belt stalks) but unknown source. I can see why now, guess they bought another that fitted properly!
Hi Matt, looks great. Is there a small dent and paint chipped off where the drivers side door fits to the front? May have just been reflection. Also, I notice on the mk3 and later models that there is a diagonal weld at the top of the "A" pillars. I have a mk1 and don't think that's on the mk1 she'll. Any idea what it's for? Someone that's a purist might know.
Hi Matt. Looking for carpets for my daugthers Mini (91) Minispares UK have a set costing 35£ and another one 175£. I see no difference and would of course prefer the cheap one, - what say you, any recommendations?
Without seeing them. I guess one is just cheap un moulded type (over tunnel etc ) and other is a newton commercial one that fits well. If money is tight just go cheap one for now. Might take a little more work to fit. But upgrade another day
Looks good! Got one of these moulded carpets to fit today in biscuit colour
cheers for that Matt, doing mine this weekend
Just take your time

Thanks I'll put one in mine in a month or so. Good inspiration. Thanks
nice job! call me crazy but that doesn't look so fun? You're a patient man Matt.
Hi, did you have to cut the carpet for the steering column? Like a long slice to slide it up and then a hole for the column tube?
I think I did. Was a while ago now. Obviously you could undo column etc if you wanted to
May be a bit late to the party here but I have been away - rear ashtray - why not grind that off, or do you want it for 'original' look?
