I am a kobalt fanboy and own believe almost every kobalt tool out there and although I love the light I believe they missed the mark the control panel should have been up in the center control area with USB connections and the lights should have been more suitable to being snapped together I would have loved to run out and buy this but I think I'll wait till then design it a little bit better
Im not a big Kobalt fan but for 99 dollars on Black Friday sale. Sold!!! I wished this was hybrid. I have few 4ah batteries. It should do fine during power outages.
99$ here in Denver, even after black friday/cyber monday . I have 2 of the gen 1 lights and 2 of the "mechanics" lights with the magnets on the back... I made a bracket the goes on the garage sale tripod... now I do have to put in 4 batteries but the capabilities are just the same. I may just get one because I'm so heavily vested in the platform
Not a hybrid? Edit: I have been happy with most of Kobalt's lighting options and I feel Kobalt kinda missed the mark on this one, but that probably has to do with the fact that they didn't want this light to compete with Flex's Tower light. When I heard this was going to be 7000 lumens (I guess that was a mistake), I was confused because the Flex is 4000 lumens max. Man, still like where Kobalt is heading with their power tools despite a few let downs because I could invest in Kobalt when I don't need to spend too much while still getting pro grade specs.
@@OnTheWorkbench it's just odd. They seem to like to play around with the amount of features they provide. The new impact driver is feature rich (5 different modes to play with) with slightly lower performance than the XTR, but you get a quick insert collet in return. The drill drivers are more compact, but have more torque and they provide handles for you. For me, the highlight is the new Mid Torque because that thing is a beast. It all came down to Kobalt or Ryobi's HP mid torque and I went with Kobalt in the end.
I'm a Ryobi guy. Ive got basically every one of their tools, and Im pretty heavily invested in that ecosystem. Problem is, they have a tower light, but it doent match the functionality this one has. I HATE having to buy yet anither charger/battery, but this light is exactly what I'm looking for. Gonna pull the trigger soon.
I would like to see it have the option to operate the lights by themselves instead of all 3 working at the same time. I would take it for camping myself and just need a few batteries for the weekend
I have all Milwaukee stuff so I was leaning towards getting one of their lights, But honestly for a hundred bucks I think I'm going to pick one of these up, batteries are stupid cheap and there's a couple ofl tools that kobalt makes that I will only occasionally use and don't want to pay M18 pricing for 🤣
I like it except and these are kinda major for me. The battery on the bottom prevents this from use in wet locations. The power switch on the bottom is pathetic, they should have stuck with the trigger like on the single head light. And they skipped out on making it a hybrid. I like the choice of battery or corded.
I have a curious question I also like Cobalt I use a lot of their stuff with a light run on 4 amp hour extended run battery I'm pretty sure it won't run long if it does but will it

Thanks so much! After watching this, I went out and bought one on sale for $99. Love it. Great buy for $99 bucks!

The hybrid option and USB ports are the two key differences between this and the Flex

I just bought this item at my local Lowes for $99 on sale. Sweet light!

Sure wish i could buy one. Still not in any of the stores in my area and not on the app/website.

Woulda been nice to see your shop lit up with electric lights off .Like aimed at the walls not camera
How does this compare to 18v Milwaukee and 20v DeWalt?
Obvious question? How will it last on with that size battery... 30 minutes. Would prefer a plug in option for what I would need it for 6 hrs. Or more.

Can lights be turned off individually?
no, it's high-medium-low for all

Does anyone know the kelvin rating of the light this produces?
they are somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000k +/-
There $99 dollars on sale till 11/16

Coming back here to seek buyers remorse if possible😂
Any sites I can buy? Lowes is out of stock
