US Marine Corps Ranks Explained

The United States Marine Corps has one of the richest histories of all the military branches. Since 1775, they have been fighting on land and at sea to protect the United States and its interests. As the tip of the spear, the Marines are the first to the fight.
The ranks of Marines can be confusing. Although the Marine Corps is part of the Department of the Navy, their ranks are closest to their counterparts in the US Army. Stick with us as we break down the rank and recognition of the US Marine Corps.
