To be fair to UAD, you can use a hardware iLok dongle and work offline, but either way, you - the customer ,pay a lot of money for yet another compressor, and have to prove that you're not a criminal every time you want to use it. I have an Apollo x8, and an iLok dongle, but these days I like to use my M1 Macbook Pro to work wherever I want, dongle free, so I'll pass on new UAD plugins, and rarely use the ones I already own.
@@lib747 I don't consider something that has to connect to a server to work something that I own. And I definitely don't want to have anything be a part of my workflow that I don't own. PA has this figured out (along with other companies that make use of the iLok cloud), but for the time I did have UAD Spark it was constantly crapping out. It's a total headache and there's just no excuse for such a supposedly prestigious company such as UAD not to have a tight grip on this.
@@Soundart001depends on your situation. Acustica is in great demand in the area of mixing and mastering. Unsuitable for producing, of course, due to the high cpu usage and latencies... I have no personal experience with UAD
Oh... another compressor. Just what the world needs.
Ha! Yah. I have far to many. Prob won’t be a purchase for me. But cool comp. Cool history.
Have you considered compressing your compressor?
@@nayaleezy I had not. If I use all my compressors, I'd be compressing my track x100000000000000. Is that too much?
The always online UA Connect thing is kind of a dealbreaker for me

Thanks!
Demoing it still but I'm afraid it can't touch my Massenburg DRC2. Not even close.
Sorry for uad if acoustica get these to sample
Uad and Acustica are just as overrated
😂I thought the same

Does it work on an IPad? In the new Logic.
Emulating hardware limitations in the digital world is so 2012
A 3px black dot to tell you the compression ratio. That’s annoying GUI design. A mouse is just not a screwdriver.
This thing has become my favorite compressor in the master. There is currently an update. The compressor/threshold now kicks in earlier.
Thanks matty!!
It's not a Capital compressor ,plain and simple .
