You Guys are the best when it comes to correcting each other. Like your videos very informative. Thanks
Our pleasure!🤗
I love how hard you try to keep us informed. Thank you. Whats more, the fact that you do it in English is even more remarkable. Gracias por todo lo que haces para mantenernos informados.
De nada. My pleasure 😊🇩🇴❤️
Norberis does a very sincere job. We hope she keeps up the good work.
Nice video...straight to the point! I'm investing in Punta Cana and had a nice time this past Thanksgiving 😊
Thank you. Punta Cana is a great investment.
Great English , good info , love the bloopers at the end :)
We are in the UK , my wife is Dominican born , we want to buy Bavaro or Las Terannas .
We have not been since 13 years
Thanks, sounds great! You should be able to find good deals in both areas.
It is more expensive than a few years ago however it is still an attractive destination for investment and retirement. The outtakes you add make people appreciate how much effort you put into the videos. If people only see the finished video, they will think it is easy.
Great point! Well said. Thanks you🙏🏾
You guys really put in the hard work on these videos. Must give you all props. Well said , well put together information. The DR is a prime place for investing. But I like what you said. Not all investment ideas will work. Hope people catch that part. Great info Norberis. Good job.
Much appreciated! That's part people will conveniently ignore just to say I said all of DR is a good investment 😂🤣. Im so glad you pointed that out because it lets me know if a person is listening to understand it's very clear. Thanks, Dee.
I'm happy I bought my property about 5 yrs ago... I won't sell but it's probably doubled in price...
I discovered Dominican Republic only five years ago. My loss! Looking to buy property there now this year.
You can still have something for a good price not too much on the north coast but Punta Cana you can still get something nice for an affordable price...
Yes, I agree.
I'm just here for the bloopers 😂🤣🫣...Your cameraman/director/executive producer/husband is always on point. LoL. Thanks for the info on DR investment.
Lol... you're welcome.
Hello Norberis, good and insightful video. Over the years I have been able to observe the rapid development of the country with my own eyes with pleasure. I, too, am thinking about returning to where a lot of things began for me 29 years ago. But despite all the enthusiasm, one should not forget one thing: the country's huge per capita national debt, which continues to rise sharply. A large part of the new achievements in the country are either on credit or not owned by the Dominican state anymore. In today's world, this can quickly lead to the insolvency of states. We here in Europe would have Greece, Portugal, then the EU stepped in. The USA does it differently, they buy the country or already own a large part.
You are exactly right. Regarding the debt part.
The thing that sold me there was the amount of constructions going on... When you see constructions that means the country is growing and I saw lot and lot of constructions... They are even building the mini twin tower next to blue mall
You're right. Santo Domingo is growing rapidly.
Thanks for sharing Norberis! A lot of opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean. All depends what sector/industry of business that you wish to pursue. Most importantly do research first to know more information about the economy and country in particular.
Bacana Norberis 👏 👏 👏 very nice I 💖 your videos much love & respect 👏 👏 👏 I will learn more about 🇩🇴 & study slang phrases
Wonderful 😊
Great information - Thank you
Glad it was helpful!👍🏼
Great video you do such a marvelous job you should be in the Dominican republic government, at least they should pay you for your positive encouragement and awareness of what is going on in this God bless island nation. Be aware progress and inflation are partners traveling on the same freeway and heading in the same direction, up.
Thank you. I agree they need to pay me😁
You put out a very appealing video. Good information.
I appreciate that!🙏🏾🇩🇴
You are a good advocate for the DR 👍🏻
Thank you🙏🏾.
@@NorberisR de nada and a good capitalist
Great video
Thanks!🇩🇴
Good afternoon great video
Thanks 👍🇩🇴
For a vacation home or retirement,it's very cheap to live there, you'll be able to save all the hustle and bustle and enjoy the culture and what it has to offer🤓
Very true!.!
As a Dominican myself, I think the prices on apartments in the capital are a bit overpriced(in good neighborhoods), but I will probably end up buying an apartment over there anyway, so my parents can retire over there. 😅
I agree with this. The capital is expensive especially in Distrito Nacional.
Buy now because the price are constantly rising. I was looking at a two bedroom villa for $95k which I thought was high. Ten months later they were $135k and sold out.
Awesome video, can you do a video on what has happened to flights to the Dominican Republic? Things such as fewer direct flights increased layovers and increased pricing into the capital whereas SDQ used to be the cheapest to fly into.
I haven't heard anything about this but if I can get any information I will share it.
Hola Norberis, usted cre que Pedernales va ser el proximo Punta Cana? Por lo lados de Bahia de las Aguilas?? Gracias
Si. Yo creo. Esa area es muy bonita
I noticed road improvement when I was there in 10/22
Yes, it's getting better.
Hi Norberis! I love your videos they are very helpful. I am in my early 20s looking to move to the DR to work remote. What are some fairly affordable areas for me to expect my age group?
If you're looking for a more vibrant lifestyle I would say Santo Domingo or Santiago.
when I look online it looks very expensive, but maybe there are properties that are more affordable if I were to look in person.
This is true. Also check the links I have in the video description there are affordable properties there to look at.
@@NorberisR okay thank you 😊
I don’t think your hubby has ever been in front of the camera with you but If I’m not mistaken his accent from AL.
Yes, he is from Alabama 😁😊
It is exespensive why we going to build a house 200 thousand grands and the rent is 300 dollar it is not worth it
If that's your assessment and belief without speaking to anyone professionally who knows the market, who am I to tell you different😂🤣
Ingles o Español, No importa. Gracias!
No I don't have a video on this. But my plan was to make one here soon as we have completed a one year cycle with our Punta cana Airbnbs this month.
@@NorberisR thank you! , Can’t wait to see it! 🙏👌👏🏼
I bought a land in Constanza it has a beautiful view of the mountains. I paid 3k per meters but I feel it over price. What do you think?
That sounds about right. Why do you think it's overpriced?
Well said and well done... #Hotep
Thank you, Jodah👍🏼
Those outakes be funny haha youtube is not as easy as it looks 😅
Lol...its really not.
Hello! On what websites I can find homes to buy in Domincan Republic from particulars ? Thank you!

Hola, Noberis I am interested in investing am potentially moving to the Dominican Republic but I’ve always loved and dreamed of having a home in el campo. Do you know how much houses cost in el campo of the DR currently. I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you 😊
The cost will vary depending on the campo you are looking at. And keep in mind the house in the campos are very modest. If you are wanting something modern you will want to build.
@@NorberisR Thank you Norberis, I will look investing in a good piece of land😊
@@crystalmyself453 you're welcome
Norberis as a foreigner can we get loans in Dominican Republic from the bank discuss this
Yes, but its a little difficult and can take longer. I'm not sure what's the criteria because different banks ask for different things.
Holaaaa
I read somewhere online that the savings accounts in DR are paying 12% interest rates. Is this true?
Also is there anything like the FDIC in DR?
No. FDIC doesn't apply in the DR. You won't get a loan either from a Dominican bank.
I'm not sure. I know different banks offer different rates. Thanks for the the idea. I will make a video regarding this.
@@jbevolve2024 I am a dual citizen, I probably can get a loan. But I was wondering if there was another form of FDIC in DR
@@bradleyhenry4667 You might be able to get a 2nd mortgage on your home, if you have one in the US, then use that money to buy/build a home in the DR. Email me if you have any questions. My original comment to you was deleted.
Greetings Norbeis,
Im very interested in making a visit to D.R.
I love your culture and the women are traditional and that's what i respect. Im disgusted living here in the states where the women disrespects us men, unappreciated, entitled and consume you energy until we get old and die. I don't want to live the rest of my life like that. I Thank you Norbeis for your help through your videos giviig us a different perspective of living with a peace of Mind.
You're welcome. I glad these videos have been helpful.
Any way I can contact you to find out about online/Work from home gigs ?
You can email me at norberis@norberisr.com but I don't have any information on work from home jobs. The platform I recommend is Upwork.com
Thanks I’ll be in contact
Hi, Norberis, how do you assess the growth of tourism that brings with it all types of corruption and conflicting agendas that negatively affect the ordinary people? How do you feel about the sense that there is so much traffic, stress, congestion, etc. increasing in Santo Domingo and Santiago? Does all this discourage tourists and expats from coming to the DR?? I have heard of negative comments even about Zona Colonial in SD. It's kind of depressing. It would be great to hear how you feel about all these things......
Those are things that every tourism destination has to live with. For a developing economy like RD, for the foreseeable future the income from tourism far outweighs those negatives.
I agree with the comment above these are issues any metropolitan city deals with and not exclusive to Santo Domingo or Santiago. Miami, California, Bogota, Bangkok, Rio, ect all face similar issues. As far as Zona Colonial I'm not sure what you heard that made you depressed so I can't comment it. However, Zona Colonial is an area made up of about 10 to 15 blocks of historical attractions. Compared to the rest of Santo Domingo this is a very very very tiny area for tourists. I don't go often because we don't like everything that comes with tourists areas. But I've never heard anyone said anything negative about zona Colonial.
@@NorberisR Thank you for your perspective. Is there a quiet neighborhood that is near zona colonial in a historical area? Are there historical tours of the City and country in general? I like history and culture. I leave the action stuff to the younger crowd! Some videos complain that the Zona smells and isn't so clean etc
@@dovygoodguy1296 Gazcue is the neighborhood closest to Zona Colonial. It's quiet area and very nice. As far as tours I don't know of any but you can find them online. Zona Colonial is clean I don't know where these people were. It's a tourist area more of a reason to keep it clean.
@@NorberisR Thank you. So much online emphasizes noise, traffic, congestion, etc. everywhere in Santo Domingo. In sure it isn't fair. And we aren't really beach types either in our 60s.
your website does not work
Yes it's working www.norberisr.com

Lol...where do I start😂. At the 5:59 mark I said "all signals are green for the country to prosper". And I never notice this about the light fixture but I know my husband uses this mark to center me in case we stop in the middle of a recording and I can resume in the same spot. And he told me many times in this recording about my eyes being closed. We re-did several takes because of it and now you noticed it too😁. Thanks as always for the well thought out response.
