The thing I failed to mention in this video is that the immortal leader needs to successfully defend the forced Challenge of the Immortal on week 7 if they want to earn a Blessed reign. In actual fact none of the previous reigns on our server did this. So that makes it 0 blessed reigns in total not 2. At least according to the information shared in-game, with the system currently in place, it seems virtually impossible to achieve a single Blessed reign. This makes the last 2 Cloaks which require a total of 4 and 6 blessed reigns respectively absurdly hard to obtain even with years of play Furthermore, the maximum time of a reign is now limited to 7 weeks. Even if the immortal defends the crown in the 30v1 in the 7th week (to earn a Blessed reign) the reign ends there and the shadows will still fight in the free-for-all to take the crown
Join immortal and you will get this. in the end everyone will get this. It should only be available to immortal clan and not to immortal allies to make the game a little harder and a rare to get. Anyway there should be like this one with shadows. Every shadow should get the privileges of whatever cosmetics exclusively for shadow only as not every clan can make through Immortal let alone reign for longer than intended date.
About the 9 week reign on Qual-Kehk, that was partly my doing. After week 7 when we only had to win 1 match the guy who was supposed to take the next immortal in our alliance did not show up, thus our alliance sent in 6 naked guys into the fight vs the big guy and the big guy got enough kills. Then in the 8th week server merge for the following week where announced and only the longest standing reign would carry over, since players in the us got very bad deeds of valor batches (which was heavily discussed on reddit at the time) when they weren't on the server that kept the immortals we decided to throw again. (Most of the server was in on this.) I basically convinced most leaders on the server that it was better to throw week 8 than getting shitty deeds of valour batches.
I believe now it is impossible to have a reign beyond 7 weeks. Even if the Immortal wins the 30 v 1 battle, the reign will still end and a new reign will begin after the final battle. The 30 v 1 has to be won by the Immortal to secure their reign as a Blessed reign, but even "defending" successful will force the reign to be over It makes this effort quite a bit more frustrating as the 30v1 is already very difficult to win. And if you do not succeed you are only credit with a 7 week non-Blessed reign, which in the context of the current requirements overall, is worthless. ** Only seeing after the fact that you've edit this into a comment. What's worse about this is that in a somewhat attempt to remove some of the politics from the cycle, they have only introduced even more. In order for the majority of these to succeed Shadow clans will be required to lay down and die to the Immortal in that final battle. This means even larger groups of 6 alliance clans will get together to facilitate 7 weeks transfer reigns to get cloak progression. This gets even more toxic when you realize that most of these clans will have an overflow clan that that they are providing members to so that the 6 clan alliance can maintain all positions in the Shadow Top 10 to insure minimum interference with their goals. It likely won't be the case everywhere, but it will be the case on most servers and has already started to structure itself on mine.
Agreed! I like having extra rewards but as it stands the system needs some tweaks. Hopefully in a future patch the requirements to get a blessed reign will become easier so that the Immortal no longer have to win the 30v1 battle Though 30v1 victories have happened on some servers they do not feel all that common, let alone for it to happen on week 7 of the cycle (unless shadows "lay down" like you mentioned)

the silver cloak looks way better than the orange one. i wish that was the permanent one instead

It’s such a shame that blizzard makes all of those really awesome looking cloaks and wings for people that maxed out credit cards playing a video game
and even for those who maxed, 6 Blessed reigns will be a tough/near impossible feat! 😅
