A trick for getting the notebook in there easier is cutting 1/3 of the slips off. Bend them backwards until they touch, same with the cover and slide in both of the slips at the same time.
What a smart way to lay out the project. I've seen so many who make the pen loops separately which requires lots of skiving and they still don't look as clean as your solution. Kudos!
Not often that I see a cover for a smaller, pocket sized notebook and this is a nice, slim and elegant design. Do you make the pattern available? Thanks
That's a great idea, to design the pattern so it's all one piece of leather, pen loops and all; rather than sewing on an extra flap of leather. If you made these to fit the Hobonichi Techo, you'd sell a lot of them.
Beautiful work. I'm looking to do covers for B5 & A4 sizes, with a pen loop, and that has an enclosure strap. I can't do leather, no tools, but I can do faux thin leather with my sewing machine. Any tips?
Hi there. I just found out your channel recently and just wanted to say I really enjoy the way you make your videos. It’s very informative as well as enjoyable to watch. Keep it up!!!
The ring was purchased through an estate jewelry shop here in Orange, CA. When I was looking for wedding rings, I didn't want a typical band and I really liked this platinum ring. I've been debating what to get engraved on it (if anything), so it's been left blank since I purchased it.
Using the pen as the clasp is genius.
Be interesting to see a video on how you developed the template from the dimensions of the journal. Nice work there.
I love how the notebook is kept closed with the pen

good call on adding your stamp to the inside, I like it
Thank you! Yeah, it's a small touch, but I think makes a big difference to the overall aesthetic.
@@legacybrandleather Is it dye or ink that you use to stamp the logo?
@@allanpennington I'm using ink. Since this most likely won't be seen, I'm not as concerned about using dye.

That's a beautiful notebook cover.
Many thanks! I'm really pleased with how this one turned out. Cheers! 🙌
I agree, a clever design to hold it closed with the pen.
Excellent video and notebook cover design! I checked your website but I couldn't find the pattern for purchase. Any plans for selling this pattern?
great job!!!
Stunning!!! I want to make my own one🇿🇦
Thanks! And go for it!
Very nice. Is this pattern available? I didn't see it on your site. Thanks.

The finished piece is gorgeous, too.
Good job brother 👍👍👍
Thanks! 👊
Niiice!
Thank you.
Are those pricking irons designed to punch all the way through the leather? Great video by the way!!

I used your template for the leather mask lol, can you do leather gloves next? The kind with your finger tips exposed and maybe a second material?
do you offer this pattern for download?
Nice
Is free pattern?

I assume you get a whole 2-3 Oz side from W&C and already refinished on the raw side?
Correct!
Hi Ted, I was wondering where you got your ring/what's the story behind it?

where you get your leather ??
I procure all my leather from either Wickett & Craig or Horween Leather.
@@legacybrandleather Is it expensive or cheap ????
@@mohammadaimanbinraymond1033 What do you think? It's high level tanneries. It's "cheap" for the quality you get but it's not a low price.
