This is another beautiful, simple, elegant, machine-aesthetic watch. With its clean lines, edges, and round cut-out design, it reminds of vintage race-car dashboard instruments. BTW, it is NOT true that nothing happens when you unscrew the crown! Unscrew the crown and without pulling(!) it pops into position 0, which is for winding! This is important, if your watch ever spends a long time in a drawer, as some automatics can be a little stubborn to start. The NH35A, aka 4R35 for Seiko in-house use, is a major improvement of the older 7S26, which had no hand wind and no hacking! As seen from the case edge, wind clockwise. No worries about over-winding, the NH35A has the automatic winder clutch, so it cannot be overwound! Carefully pull a wee bit, and the first "click" is position 1, for date adjustment, but there is no window for it on this watch, and the date wheel is hidden and maybe not even installed. The NH35A is such a mass market item, it is cheaper to use it, than a dedicated no-date model. I would bet 5 bucks, the date wheel is even left on :) Second click is position 2, to hack and adjust time.
I bought a Tandorio in the flieger style, very similar to the Laco models, but this one has a date window. I was surprised by the quality delivered for less than 50 dollars.
I just got one that looks identical to this on temu but its listed as a vostok amphibia (definitely not a vostok) but it has a seagull. Actually a pretty nice watch for the 30$ i got it for.
Why would you feel bad for them? There’s probably not many overlap customers between these two brands due to the price point they’re sold at. The U2 is a bit cheaper than most Unimatic’s, but still almost 10x the price of the Tandorio.
Between Pagani Design, Corguet, and Tandorio; its getting reallllly difficult to fall in like with Seiko and Orient. Seiko divers used to be king at the sub 200$ mark; but its getting real criminal for seiko to continue to use mineral crystals, aluminum bezel inserts, and god awful bracelets and charging 500+ now. Orient's new mako lineup *finally* adopted sapphire crystals, but still suffer from aluminum bezels and straps that rival the quality of what daniel wellington and mvmt use... oh for 340$. Comparable watches from these chinese companies use seiko movements (I presume the tandorio use the malaysian movements, but Pagani Design uses the japanese variants of the nh35; though the main difference between these two will simply be the regulation [+20 seconds a day is completely egregious, thats a faulty movement imo lol]. They both will last for 10 years and then you spend the 40$ and replace it with a completely new one]. For 80-100$ from these companies, you get shockingly good bracelets, sapphire crystals, tons of design options, ceramic bezel inserts, and a proper seiko movement. Its not even comparable. (In fairness, I have a few pagani design watches, some are certainly better than others. The PD1667 absolutely smokes the 1639 in every way; it genuinely feels like they were made in separate factories, BUT for 80$ the 1639 is absolutely still incredible value and looks great, its just not nearly as good). I think with these Tandorios, you're probably best off getting these tool variant ones, I think their dress watches miss the mark in terms of case finishing. For these fully brushed beater watches, cant go wrong.
Totally agree. I have an Orient Ray II and overall like the watch, but that mineral crystal is scratched quite a bit. Been looking at replacing with a San Martin, but this brand is catching my eye too.
It's technically seiko watch! Good to brush at work doing hardwork 😁 And if to talk about orient they movement looks more better than seiko and are not mass produce for third Chinese parties. When find out that Chinese with sapphire hearth and stainless steel have same hearth inside don't wanna seiko anymore. Have orient and gonna go for next one orient too. But ordered seiko in Chinese body to use at work and test. It's a hibryd Japanese hearth made in Malaysia, body made and assembled in China. Even seiko for for 400$ can get with mineral glass and hibryd with sapphire 😅 that one looks like shit by my eyes but there is a plenty other looking great. Good job China!
There IS a date complication, if it is a real NH35 and not NH38. Only you cannot see it as the dial is no-date. But crown should have a ghost date position, which is annoying. I wish all no-date dial watches would have real no date movements. For me, the best one is the Seiko VH31 'mechaquartz', which brings the best from both worlds (mechanical and quartz movements). I wish more Chinese micro brands would give a cheaper alternative in every models of theirs with this movement. Not everyone feel the need of a real mechanical movement. Back to this particular watch: only cosmetics what I would add, is the same red contour for the minute hand as the hour hand. Anyway it's good as it is.
In fairness, these cheaper chinese brands do have variants with the VH31 that Ive seen. Its a good point though, its a great movement thats painfully under utilized
NH35A has calender and its hided under dial first ghost position is for that and it has no use just sitting under dial and have one position which one does nothing. But Chinese are same seiko inside. But for seiko need pay 5 times more for name on dial. And got same hearth inside. So seiko lovers, there is nothing wrong with Chinese watch

I bought one with the sterile dial. I'm so impressed with the quality for the price. Nice watch!

I feel bad for Unimatic, because it's a small brand. But you can't beat the quality/price Tandorio offers.

Rip Unimatic 😂

Mesmo substituindo os chineses quando eu tiver 100 anos terei gastado muito menos do que ter comprado um Seiko kkkkkkkkkk
@@lucarele1990 Agreed.

Addiesdive is another brand to check out as well.
La bella figura. Watch and man. Thank you for upload.
La bella figura?
Looks like a unimatic u2 homage, beside the numerals on the dial
I own this beauty. For the price and what you get, this watch is a winner.
What a nice Sinn clone 👍
Great review mate! Your production quality is next level. This is a good beater watch candidate. I mean for that price, who can complain?
A good daily wear watch. You cant go wrong.
What is this model called? Can't find it anywhere on official website or aliexpress
The case is a bit too straight, it could have had a bit of curve on the back to fit better

does it have the date wheel behind the dial?
Yes
Does anyone know the variant name or a link for alieexpress where I can order this watch?
Looks good and feel good ❤ I will buy for my birthday 🎁.. Thanks
Happy birthday!
It’s a copy of an Unimatic, brand from Italy

If it was around 11 mm thick- it would be a really attractive watch
Nice review
Thanks!
Tandorio shop can't even manage to ship to UK customers. So don't waste your time.
Peccato che ho il polso grosso , se fosse almeno di 40 lo comprerei
I dont care about the box, tag, warranty card, plastic wrap useless landfill garbage. unboxing is worthless from Chinese watch.
